Let's face it - the most important thing tonight? No Frank Kaminsky.
Yep. Post of the night

We had no business winning this game. But I’ll take it

We really need a solid backup pg.

I can’t take any more carter. He doesn’t do enough in d at this point and has no offense anymore.

Glad Ayton's back, but he looks a little stiff and sloppy so far. Oubre having a nice start to the game.
Not a bad end either.

Probably too early to go down this path, but perhaps a good thing if we get blown out. James Jones and others seem to think that once aytons back they will fix everything. A bad loss may fully highlight our flaws so they actually do something about it. We don’t have have the luxury of saying give ayton 15 games to find his groove.

Weird subs tonight also.
Sorry, they couldn't appease you tonight. ;)

Bridges with the STUFF on old fat Melo! Love it.
Loved it
Yeah, Melo tried to abuse Bridges most of the night but Bridges wouldn't have it.

Gutsy win. Can’t believe the Blazers allowed it to happen.

Great games from Oubre and Booker. Would have liked to see more Cam. Not sure why he didn’t get more time especially with how bad Bridges was on D...

Bridges was pretty bad on D. He’s looked bad lately. Not sure what’s going on with him but he looks like he’s on skates out there.

The bench guards are brutal right now. Brutal. No consistency.

Saric? What’s his deal? We have enough other problems

Also has Rubio forgotten how to throw a lob?
Umm, Bridges had the 2nd highest +/- on the team (+18) tonight and had some clutch plays in the 4th. And Rubio was the highest at +21. You're kind of stretching and nitpicking just to pick.
Bridges had the brutal and 1 on Lillard which Booker was noticeably pissed about. Had a block on Melo. Did some good things to get open on offense. But his defense wasn’t really all that great. Got beat to the basket several times.

Wasn’t knocking Rubios game. He played well. Just noticed he doesn’t throw lobs to anyone. Pick and roll lobs used to be a thing when he was on other teams.

You got your wish. Suns held them to under 40 in the 1st quarter.
And under 30 in the second. If they can continue that trend, we might be onto something
:D

Agree. Especially with Ayton, some PnR would be great.

These refs taking Tim Donaghy lessons? A Suns player breathes on Lillard, and he gets foul shots.
Oubre, early in the game, hits a trey and gets shoved backward ... no call.
Portland player closes out the half by barreling into Baynes ... no call.

WTF ... :x :?: :!:
It’s genuinely bad. Lillard mouths off at the red and next possession is rewarded for being a dick. Monty was getting into the refs but He could have maybe challenged one of those bs calls.
Yeah, the Blazers mouthed off to the refs all night long. It was tough enough having to watch the Blazers broadcast with every replay being their plays.

Has Rubio been asked to step up his scoring lately? Definitely look more aggressive especially in 4h quarters

Solid 3rd quarter. Down six, 89-83, heading into the 4th. Booker and Oubre both having frisky nights with 25 and 21 points respectively. We can still win this.
Yes we can!

Somehow only down 6 really weird game

Sorry if I’m over commenting
There is no such thing as overcommenting--its a basketball message board, and its the first game this season that we have a healthy roster!
Agreed. And even though I sometimes go back through the thread and give peeps a hard time in good fun, I appreciate the ebbs and flows of the board's emotion as we go through the game. If you miss a game, that's the best way to get a feel for how the game went.

We needed that. And I liked Oubre blowing kisses to the crowd after Lillard held his hand up to his ear to our crowd in that heart breaker.

Fun back-and-forth play here in the 4th. Suns down 2, 106-104. Bridges just had a nice layup in transition. We can win this game!
Yes we can!

If you’re gonna foul Dame in the lane, just lock his ass up.
Just what I said on that play. Then they did the next time and he missed a FT for only 1 point instead of the 3 he got this time.

We got the Lakers on Wednesday and then we start a 7 game stretch against teams all under .500...a 6-2 stretch would be nice

Love that they didn't hang it up after that first quarter shellacking.
