Ayton is just playing shitty but this loss was a team effort.
It’s preseason. This is definitely shit way to start but I’m just not going to make snap judgments when so many key pieces are missing.

Once this team is at full strength and doesn’t have their head up their asses, it should be a pretty fun team to watch. At least that’s what I tell myself. *shrug*

Jazz 37 FTs, Suns 11. How do you win with that disparity? Not that it was our only issue but all things being equal it is impossible.
we created that disparity. it isn't the refs. We keep passing the ball around the perimeter and moving away from the basket, or playing 1 on 1.

I obviously think what we're seeing in these last two games has been a bit of a nightmare.
It hasn't been good, but nightmare is an overstatement. Paul didn't play the first game; Saric and Crowder still haven't played.
Can I say fugly? lol

He got away with an offensive foul, but how about that AGGRESSION from Motley to throw it down in the midst of three Jazz defenders.

Preseason or not the lack of giving a shit or having a pair for DA is the same old tired story.

Agreed. While there has been couple shit calls, like the Bridges foul where he clearly got all ball but for the most part, we only got ourselves to blame on this one.

It’s preseason folks, there’s a new pg, they’ve had very limited practices, a little patience is still in order.
Agreed but none of this is an excuse for what ails Ayton.

Add Nader to the list of injuries. Got clocked good by Azibuike and head slammed hard. Ejection on the play that the Jazz announcers were lobbying to be a basketball play.

Exactly. That’s a tired take. I’d accept a 2-10 line from Ayton with 5 turnovers if it was because he was being aggressive and trying to find his way.

It was the same old lazy pussy play he’s trademarked. His tattoo on his back should be HALFASSAYTON

He played great last year prior to the bubble. No reason to expect a decline. Ayton is now playing 100% roll man with a new PG and has to be a screener for his shooters. He has to learn these two newer offensive part of his games. Getting screen assists is a big change for him. Up until now, he’s been a post player, offensive glass cleaner, and a mid range shooter. I think what’s changing are his expectations on offense and it’s throwing him way off. He just needs time.

Feels like there’s been at least 7 or 8 and ones for the Jazz tonight. Unreal

It was a basketball play. He hit Nader's head all in the motion of blocking the shot. I think it was a Flagrant One.

Even that call, Carter mauled the guy first. So it should have been a foul on Carter.

My beef is that he doesn’t play hard or aggressive most of the time. I don’t care what players have changed or what his supposed roll is on offense, he is the least aggressive and lowest energy guy on the floor when he’s out there. This is the easiest “skill” to improve.

Ayton will come back and put together a few good games and we'll be right back at the, "if he could just figure out (fill in something obvious) he'll be fine" standard. This is who Ayton is and I'm done with this shit.

Trade his ass. He's not worth $25M and definitely not worth the $30M+ qualifying offer.

Anyone want to join me in saying they’d trade DA for SGA? I’m not going to make any conclusions based on a preseason game, but Ayton has to go if he keeps playing like this.

The reffing was fine. The Suns didn’t attack and the Jazz did. Simple as that.
