Saw the original and didn't care for it. I heard the newer one was a bit better. But it is a book with a lot of characters, and it is really hard to do in movie form. It is the ultimate "man wronged and does whatever it takes to plan untimely comeuppance for his enemies" story. Dumas wrote it really well and it just makes you keep turning the pages.

Nobody said he sucks. I said he isn't a best player on a championship team, and hasn't shown himself to be great when it matters. He is a great regular season player. But if you are building a playoff roster, he isn't a top 5 forward.

That’s the version I was referring to.

Yeah. I think there was a really old one (like 30s/40s?) and an old one (maybe even a made-for-tv, not sure), then the most recent one. I call it recent because it was this century, and I don't want to call it old.

I also just did a google search and it looks like another might be moving into pre-pre-production.

One of my great memories as a kid was watching The Three Musketeers movie (1973) followed by The Four Musketeers (they couldn't fit it all into one movie) a year later.
