Yep, even if you're not from ND. There are two seasons and both are excellent and unrelated (to each other or the movie other than name and location).
Well that last part isn't true.

That was mostly fair. I would say it was a little harsh, but it did feel like there was a lot more we didn't see, that we usually do at a mid-season finale.
I am still trying to figure out how much time has passed from episode one til now. I get the feeling it is like 2-3 days, tops.
Also, how long have they been in Alexandria? A month? It hasn't been long.

I think its been around 2-3 days tops. I watched The Talking Dead last week and they said it was a day or two I believe before the last episode and the last episode was still part of the same day.
The first couple of episodes were so intense I do t see how they could keep it up. This last one was a little slow but, overall I feel this has been an awesome season.

I really don't like how they handled the whole Glenn thing. That writer links to his post on the subject and put it pretty well:
The season started off with three really good episodes, culminating in the mystery of Glenn’s death.
Then the showrunners spent three more episodes essentially refusing to move the plot forward. We got one good backstory, and then two episodes where almost nothing happened to anyone we cared about. We learned that Maggie was pregnant and that’s about all.
Then finally—finally!—in the seventh episode we found ourselves back in a familiar place…
And this was good news! But…also sort of a letdown. Killing off Glenn felt like a really bold move to me, even though I didn’t like it. My not liking it, being so sad and disturbed by it, was probably the strongest I’ve felt about The Walking Dead…ever. I can’t think of another moment so powerful in the entire show’s run.
But it was a head-fake. They were just tricking us. Worse still, they tricked us and then dragged it out for weeks, effectively killing off all the tension we had at the end of episode 3.

I think that is what everyone feels. Well, except the group that is just glad he is alive at all costs.

No writer has ever made everybody happy, just like no Suns team in history has every made every Suns fan happy.

Hard to do that when you never achieve your goal.

The Suns have the goal of a Champinship. The Walking Dead has a goal of having as many viewers as possible. The Suns are a doormat team right now. The Walking Dead is about as popular as you can get. At least one of them achieved their goal.

Nibble on this!
That was an awesome episode! Wow, a whole family wiped out. The opening was classic. I haven't read the comics but I had heard how badass Negan was supposed to be in the series and so it was hilarious to see him and his clan wiped out before they even got started.

Yeah, kind of figured out while watching Talking Dead that that wasn't Negan himself.

Negan is Sam and Deans dad.

I'll say this about Negan...
What happened to his crew, will not go unnoticed by him.

How many of you guys read the comic?

I did. But got started late. So I read the first few years in a couple weeks. For some reason, key scenes don't stand out to me as much as they should. But that Carl scene did.

I blame Carol
Sam saw the little boy zombie and all he could think about was Carols voice when she was threatening to take him out, tie him to a tree and let the zombies eat him alive if he told anyone she took a weapon out of the weapons locker. She had totally traumatized him. He froze, got killed, Mom screams, gets killed, Rick cuts off her arm to free Carl, last remaining family member decides to get revenge, gets kabobed by Michonne.

Hard to argue with that. And in the same vein, Rick.
