I think he would be a good choice. Navy captain pilot who flew missions, space shuttle commander, moderate. A little critical of the way Biden handled immigration, which might appeal to moderates. Pro Second Amendment but, seriously wants to take guns out of the hands of those who shouldn’t have them. He is as close to a Republican you are going to get and still be a Democrat.

My wife talked smack about him because of an Airport ticketing interaction she had with him but, airports are stressful and I won’t hold that against him.

The GOP is going to paint all Dems as radical leftists bent on the destruction of America. Harris and Kelly are a prosecutor and a military guy, who are more moderate than Biden. That’s a good recipe.

I admit Vance was never on my radar before the VP pick. Now he is on my radar. He has had some pretty disturbing stances. A never Trumper who became Trumps VP. Promotes the hunting down of women who travel out of state to get an abortion and prosecuting them. Says anyone who doesn’t have children shouldn’t be allowed to vote?

I saw a tweet that was like, Vance is the worst possible age to suddenly become a national politician because he's been Very Online for most of his adult life, so there is just a huge deep well of problematic or cringey tweets, posts, videos, blogs, etc. that he's written over so many years that now everybody can just dig up and use against him.

Another GOP rep calls Harris a "DEI" hire. They just love being racist and sexist; they can't help it. It's who they are, and it's how they see people.

Some of it was AI fake, but most of what she said was real. It's not great that it mixes it, as it makes everything she said dismissed as AI. I just thought it was funny. No news here.
