I think he's right. It's the 15th and nothing has happened. Shel? Cookie Monster?

Are we really going to go another week? I just want it to be over so we can totally move forward from last season's disaster.

It’s only pressing for me if they have something else lined up. Otherwise, no reason to rush it.

I guess. I just want to be totally on the other side of that disaster. I can go either way on Allen or O'Neale but I wouldn't mind moving on from them either. Allen especially doesn't measure up to the new alignment. I kind of wish he hadn't lost his edge.

As far as other moves post Beal, I'm on the Melton bandwagon. He fits.

Ya, I don’t think we have anything else substantial lined up…and if we do we probably have it worked out anyways and all parties are just waiting…we missed out on any big splashes by not having it figured out by July 1st.
I also understand just wanting to be passed it as well, so I hope we get some news soon, but I won’t stress if it drags a bit.

I’d be good with him…he is another injury concern, but does provide some much needed skills(defense, off ball shooting, some ball handling).
Cam Payne is also still out there and he’d probably be more of a 3rd pg behind Gillespie at this point, but would be insurance for an injury or Gillespie not being great.
Delon Wright is another interesting name. Older, but similar player to Melton.
Fultz and Simmons are interesting dice rolls…but I’d understand not wanting to go down that route. Spacing concerns with both of them.

Melton is a perfect fit, if he'd come here for the money we can offer. A 3D PG would be great.

He's not a perfect fit. What this team lacks is someone that can get the ball to others in the right spot. The timeline guys had a point on their last podcast about what happens when Booker goes down. Our offense immediately will struggle as he's basically the only one on the team that can do that right now.

I'm going to do some yoga now that Bradley Beal has been bought out.

I don't think he brings anything this team is lacking. They need a PG and guy who can score off the bench when Booker sits.

So we can spend 8.6 million of our MLE, but we won’t…we’ll sign someone for the vet min and just skate under the tax

It also gives the Suns increased team-building flexibility by taking them out of the first and second apron, providing access to more tradable draft picks in the future, and opening up part of the midlevel exception.
