Relieved to see Ayton there because a small part of me is skeptical of him maintaining his fitness from the FIBA games. Also good to see Miles Simon as that indicates it's more than just getting in drill work.
Right as Simon is on the training staff now, correct?
Coaching staff.
Cool. That’s actually what I meant to say.

Well, he is training them to be better basketball players.

Article said Beal isn't regarded as a top 30 player, it's kinda weird how people have forgotten how good Beal is.
High volume and moderately efficient, he's described as if he's Jordan Clarkson.

He’s had two injury plagued years with slightly less productivity when he has played. He probably hasn’t been a top 30 guy the last two years, but he likely would have been had he been healthy. He was also just on an irrelevant team so nobody paid much attention to him.

It's always "what have you done for me lately". When the Suns are rolling and he's putting up 25ppg or goes off for 40 or hits a gamewinner, people will be writing the "We forgot how good Bradley Beal really is" articles.

They definitely will. We got some of those(maybe not articles, but comments) around the trade request. A few basketball analysts were pushing back on the general opinion of Beal.

He didn't even play poorly, I do think you're right though he was just lost in obscurity in Washington.

Was concerned seeing him hobble around on the bum ankle in the 2nd game but really solid tournament

I knew he hits his spot up 3s and cuts well but I like the dribble drive ability he showed

Idk if he'll get a bunch of opportunities to dribble drive, but I liked his hustle and defensive instincts.

Agreed on the Hustle and D
Should have been more specific, "attacking close outs when run off the 3"
I thought if he wasn't open he would be one to just swing (D. Lee) but he's comfortable off the bounce

That, I could definitely see. He seems like a steal at the minimum.

One of the good things about international play is that these guys will be in midseason form and really sharp heading into camp and the start of the season. But the team would be wise to manage his workload early on so he's not burnt out and hitting the wall by December. We saw it with Rubio and Baynes a few years back, don't want to see Yuta's numbers take too much of a dip midyear or worse, see him get injured from overuse.

We shouldn’t be reliant on Yuta for many minutes, so I’m not worried.

I think he'll get a lot of minutes if he plays like some of us expect him to.

Well he’s still a bench player. He won’t be playing 30+ minutes a game. That’s all I meant.
