I'd forgotten what exactly Kai Jones did. I guess he just posted a series of bizarre and unhinged social media posts? Anything really scandalous?

That alone should've been enough to have him quietly suspended by the team.

I love the old school aesthetic, it nowill always be my favorite and Reebok does it well. Hopefully the show tech can keep up with the rest.

The pumps were all the rage back in the day... I'm sure they'll bring back a sick, newer version that's app controlled or something :)

This was his quote when he re-signed with the Hornets in July:
“I sincerely apologize for the pain, embarrassment and disappointment that last year’s incident caused so many people,” said Bridges. “Time away from the game allowed me to reflect, immerse myself in therapy and prioritize becoming a better person - someone my family and peers can be proud of. I’m grateful to the Hornets and the NBA community for giving me a second chance - most people don’t ever get one and I understand those questioning whether I deserve one. I will do everything I can to earn back the trust and confidence of my teammates, coaches, the Hornets organization and staff, fans, and the Charlotte community. I’m ready to return to work and can’t wait to rejoin my Hornets teammates.”

People can grow and change, but it takes time and it takes consequences. I don't think Bridges really had to suffer much for his past mistakes; he got back to the league pretty quickly and still stood to gain tens of millions of dollars. Seems like whatever punishment was put upon him wasn't enough to really make him rethink his behavior and priorities.

I'm watching Wemby dismantle the Heat right now. The rest of the league is fucked.

It's not fair. They got Wemby and we got Bol.

Wemby is nuts.

So, the Spurs got David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and now Victor Wembanyama with the #1 pick, and we got…Deandre Ayton. Seems fair.

Yeah, I know. I was more or less crediting San Antonio with the ridiculously good luck they have had in the draft with the #1 pick. Has any other team had 3 homerun #1 picks like that? Obviously Wemby still has yet to prove it, but he’s shown a ton of promise so far.

By far. Shame he can't keep it together upstairs because his talent is immense.

I mean, he was playing a version of the Heat so I guess that's technically correct.

I'm really just coping with not being ready for him to dominate.
