We better have a good free agency plan. I predict a lot of frustration during the first week or so of free agency. We can only sign vet min guys and those guys will most likely wait to see if they get a bigger offer first. We’d just be re-signing our own guys for the first little bit.

I still think one or two vet FAs could let us know right away that they want to come here for less money.

It’s possible…would have to be the right vet that has already made a lot of money and just wants to win…who would fall in that category? JaMychal Green is a guy I’m interested in that could fit that bill

Being saddled with Ayton was the last thing I wanted for this off season. Woof.

Fuckin sucks. He has no value, keep believing Vogel is some magical big whisperer, Ayton has no IQ, drive, or motor, Vogel can't fix that.

James Jones is a buffoon.

Another season of mediocre 18/10 with poor defense incoming. Can't wait to hear how hard he's worked only to be the same dude he's been for 5 years, only now he costs 30m. No wonder nobody wants him.

Value to the franchise is at an all time high? Lol. He's never been worse.

This is the same Chris Haynes that told us the Suns had waived Chris Paul right? Not sure he's the most credible of sources to be fair.....

I want to believe this is the Suns pushing this stuff out there because there's no reason to announce that we're looking to trade him and are talking to teams right now or have been in recent weeks. If we let that stuff out and nothing happens, then we're in the awkward position with DA and his feelings are hurt and his value drops because we couldn't move him. It's smarter right now to say we won't trade him and then if a trade happens in a few weeks it becomes, "We didn't expect to trade him but something came together where we added the talent and depth we were looking for". For Gambo (aka the org) to say we're actively looking to move DA serves no purpose and can only end badly.

There's no real point in keeping him tho IMO because he's the 4th option and likely won't embrace the defensive big role we need. And we know making a midseason trade is hard enough to get done, not to mention the disruption it can cause on the court trying to work in new players.

One of the worst takes I've seen. Vogel actually has a great defensive system that he will be implementing...with Ayton in a starring role (in that defensive system). And Sam acts like previous seasons of data on Ayton's defense are completely irrelevant. "If this is how he played last season, then it definitely has to be how he will play next season." Stupid and illogical.

That was with Gambo debunking him. They are both agreed on this.

It's going to be so fun reading all of the Ayton haters going apoplectic when it really sinks in that the Suns love Ayton and are keeping him.
Hahaha I didn't expect it to be less than 2 days later.

Or is Haynes simply taking Gambos line on this as he got made to look like an idiot last time?

What is it about Ayton that you feel makes him invaluable to this Sun's team and worth taking repeated flak for?

I could understand feeling that way about Bridges but Ayton is a harder reach for me.
