I like Washington better than Maledon or Jerome…we do need guard depth, but we need it higher up the depth chart. I feel pretty good about Payne/Shamet/Washington as 4th/5th/6th guards…what we really need is a 3rd guard.

I think we need a competent, real power forward before another guard.

I do think our pf rotation is much thinner. I would rather have a ball handler though. A big wing that can dribble/pass would be ideal haha

Something tells me Payne will have a bit of a bounce back year, but I wouldn't be adverse to signing another PG if it's someone who can actually contribute. Washington isn't a PG.
And they really need to get some quality for Crowder. Use some draft capital if you have to, but get someone back that can actually play.

I'd rather not spend draft assets, this team may try to retool on the fly post CP3 but I am not sure that's the way to go. IF Ayton is moved and the Paul steps away, what are they left with? Booker won't wanna be around for another rebuild, Bridges will be in demand throughout the league, I think they gotta keep draft assets at all costs.

Short of an all-in superstar move(KD) I’m really only interested in moving this years 1st(2023). I’d also be very hesitant to move anything beyond that.

He hasn’t been good in Utah really at all, but I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a look at him. Especially at a 2-way spot if we move up Washington

They also waived Stanley Johnson. Redundant with Okogie here I think as they do the same kind of things now.

Johnson is bigger and gives us some size on the wing. Is he better than Craig?

I'm super down on Craig but Stanley has been on a million teams so far and hasn't moved the needle at all. Sure if Craig is included in a trade he'd be someone you'd maybe look at. But short answer, No.

Statistically they were very close last year. Only clear takeaway is Craig is a better rebounder. Johnson gets to the ft line more. Other than that they are basically the same player.

I think we need both at the same time. And that time is now.

Ayton can play the 4… it’s all on Monty now.

Careful pickle, that kind of thinking gets you disabused pretty roundly...as apparently according to most here that's a 'stupid and terrible idea,' that 'he couldn't possibly be successful in that position,' etc.

I'd say Maledon is probably better than Washington is now, but he struggles with consistency. Both have some upside though. Washington over Ty is an easy call.

Surprise, surprise - I agree with this. But not just because I value the draft. The Suns are playing a dangerous game: they're shelling out tons of money and have created a top heavy roster with very little depth and are depending on an injury prone star nearing 40. Those are all the components for a situation where you wake up one money and find that you are paying the L-Tax for a borderline playoff team.

I think Carey is on to something. I don't think the comparison is between Craig and Johnson. I think it is between Okogie and Johnson. And I would take Stanley Johnson over Josh Okogie. I get Jones is touting Okogie as a defender, but he is under 6'5 and can't shoot; I just don't see a lot of value in having him on the roster.
