He's a decent prospect, doesn't solve the get into the paint/attack the rim issue

I'm starting to think this is all Ishbia's doing. I think he's in Joneses ear. Maybe the price hasn't been finalized and he's driving it down. Who would pay 4B for this?!

Yeah, he is solid. I'm not sure I would want him for the Suns.

He fits the James Jones archetype. And we'd get some nonsense about how Wemby and Scoot aren't ready to help a team win right now.

Still remains to be seen how Monty would feel about his daughter getting Dick.

Gambo says the Suns will sign a player within the next 24-48 hours, most likely a 10-day contract.
They probably haven't had anyone scouting, so it's taking a while to actually know what is out there. Usually they just work off a list of players that used to play for Monty.

It’s gonna be TLC or one of the other guys that was with us in training camp.

Though I’m hoping it’s Grant Riller, Sharife Cooper, or Jared Butler(or someone in that vein). I’d be cool with Trey Burke too

Come on. WW doesn't need any help.

Is this Dick dude actually any good? I don’t know anything about him.
He's got good length, and at times shows impressive penetration. But he can be a bit stiff, and he may need to work on his ball-handling. Loves to get a rebound and whip it out to the open man. Great fakes; he's a master, baiting his opponent with a pump fake. Can be a bit cocky. Would do well at playing with Johnson. I hope the Suns don't piss away their pick on Dick, but overall he's one of the most up-and-coming prospects in the draft.

Suns fans will forever be in debt to Baxter Holmes, but does the guy report on anything else?

I worry Sarver was avoiding us trading Crowder out of spite and refusing to sign off on deals. I also wonder if James Jones sees this as a throw away year. CP3 is on the decline, we've been hammered with injuries and Ayton isn't the answer. He doesn't show up enough, doesn't play with force. Book and folks go down, you lean on your max contract center. He buckled, we've struggled and now he's hurt again too.

So if Jones sees it as a throw away, we'll figure out how to put together some pieces in the off-season under new ownership. It's always possible Ishbia may want his own GM and coach. Or own GM at least.

I think Jones has been terrific at establishing culture and hiring Monty helped with a ton of it. Jones has been relatively bad in the draft. NBA Finals year, he did nothing around the trade deadline to address big man depth after Ayton. That bit us in the ass. Last season, he didn't do anything to address guard depth and Booker and CP3 were so tired and fatigued in the playoffs, we got laughed off the court in Dallas. This season, we've been paying Crowder for 5 months of literal nothing. Even an average PF would be better than a zero.

If Sarver has held back Jones, he should flourish when new ownership becomes official. That's been a big problem too. It won't become official until almost immediately after the trade deadline. So our new owner with lots of cash can't do anything.

But he's better than the majority of GMs, hell he won GM of the Year last year and was the runner up the year before. Ultimately, we get Book back and some other guys, maybe make a late push for a final seed. 7th, 8th or play in. See what happens but focus on rebuilding this off-season so we're top 3 next season

I’m trying to think of players the Suns could sign that would be really underwhelming and the name I came up with is Elfrid Payton.

Adonis Arms is not playing too well right now in the g league, so I would be underwhelmed if they brought him in just due to familiarity.

I don't know if TLC would leave Europe for a 10-day contract or a non-guaranteed contract, so it probably won't be him.

Saben Lee would be ok, but there are guys in the G-League outperforming him, so I would have trouble accepting him as the best move possible.

Outside of Trey Burke, anybody in particular you’re interested in for a 10 day?

I'm looking at Mac McClung, James Akinjo, Zavier Simpson, Lester Quionnes, and Carlick Jones, as far as point guards go.

Non-PGs: Gary Clark (shooting the 3 ball nicely, defended well at the NBA level), Zylan Cheathem (have always been a fan), Alize Johnson, Sam Merrill.

I just imagined Mac McClung trying to bring the ball up court against Andrew Wiggins in the 4th quarter of the last Suns win.

Thought they may bring in Lee. Was in camp with us, showed a little bit of offense and some slick passing IIRC.
