You could say that about the Suns too. The art is knowing when to do it and when to let people go. Time will tell if he made the right call keeping Vasquez and Patterson at 6M per, but at first glance I can't say I love it.

It seems like 6M might be the new 4M, so maybe not so bad.

Plus the Vasquez deal is 2 years so pretty short and movable if you have to for some reason. Patterson was only a 3 year deal.
