Umm the only team they can talk to immediately is the Spurs.

I do want to talk to lots of teams about trading Durant. But haven't we decided that Sidery doesn't have any sources and just makes up stuff, though?

OK I think Sidery was just probably repeating something he'd heard from Shams, or from the same source.

We don't even know if he's human.

I'm scared we're going to end up with OG Anunoby and some not-so-great draft picks.
We won’t end up with that if there’s 5 teams after him

We'll name Sam Rose GM and he'll help his dad out.

I didn’t listen, but heard Gambo said that while there will be a lot of interest in Durant, that he expects he’ll end up in Houston

I would love that outcome. But I think that reflects more what Phoenix wants than what Houston wants. HOU is going to try to play hardball and get Booker from us rather than Durant. We should hold strong and not give in to that demand.

I don't believe Booker is available in any deal.

The only reason to go with Houston in a Durant trade is if they are willing to give us every single pick of ours that they control.

Why is that the only reason?
I’d gladly take 2 picks, Eason, and Smith.
My reason for going with Houston is they have an abundance of picks and young players.
Houston isn’t giving us all 3 and I really don’t think another team can match a Houston offer.

I just don’t like anything they have to offer, other than getting our picks back. Either way, Ishbia is not going to make a trade for picks and/or young players. He’ll want an established star (or at least semi-star) included.

I agree with this, I think he goes big fish hunting in return.

I'm hoping that this stretch of games with our rookies in the starting lineup opened his eyes to the VALUE of young players.
I'm sure he's seen what we all have seen; what I begged for in upon 1st seeing Ryan and Oso.

Athleticism and hustle come from youth; young players trying to make a name for themselves.
We need our next Amare

Is there any chance at all that OKC decides they don't need Holmgren because they did so well without him this year?

I do think you’re right about Ishbia. My fear is we get a nice haul from Houston that we turn around and give it up for a semi-star.
You don’t like anything Houston has? Smith jr? Eason? Whitmore? Sheppard? What do you like better that other teams have?

I would say no…but if he got hurt again and they lost before the finals? Maybe

Probably the best we can hope for is a “star” that is a few levels below Durant but at least 5 years younger.

I'd say they only consider a move like that if they fail to win the title this year. And even then, not guaranteed. But that'd be the dream; getting Chet for KD would be basically the peak of what kind of return we could hope to get, outside of a stupid haul of draft picks.
