Its easy to grasp. That the only time most people (including sports media types) watch those players.

You have to love Warren. He has already improved his game since he was drafted. His production is more efficient with the Suns than he was in college. I would so much love to find a starting pf this summer, move TJ to the starting position at SF. Move PJ to the starting 2. Then bring Knight, Wright, and the Morrii off the bench.

Simply adding a high level, starting pf would do wonders for this team. If Bledsoe can't hack it as the starging pg, bring Knight in as the starter and bring Eric off the bench.

Harrell would be best to pattern his game after Denver's Kenneth Faried, who has had success because he understands playing hard is a skill. Faried, however, averaged more than 12 rebounds a game during his Morehead State career, including a senior season when he averaged almost 15 rebounds a game. Harrell, on the other hand, has averaged only seven rebounds a game during his three seasons at Louisville.

While Harrell's rebounding numbers should be adjusted for a higher level of competition than Faried played at, it should be noted that this season his Offensive Rebound Rate ranked 274th in the country and his Defensive Rebound Rate was 248th best. Both are pedestrian numbers for someone with a reputation for having a high motor.

I'm not sure there's a difference maker in this draft to be had at #13, at least one that I can say for certain right now anyway. I guess that's why they make the big bucks. The guys in that range though all have problems. Poeltl, Turner, Oubre, Dunn, Dekker, Grant, Booker, and Portis? Ugh. The most talented out of that group is probably Grant who we don't need. The one I like the most is Oubre who we don't need. Givony has Harrell all the way down at #23 now. Maybe we can trade down, pick him up and a future pick too. I guess we'll see. There's always the chance I will be wowed by another prospect between here and late June.

I see what some people are excited about with Harrell, but as I evaluate him, he'll be lucky to be a journeyman in the NBA. I wouldn't even bother with guys that won't make a difference if I was running the Suns, those guys are a dime a dozen. What they need are guys that can be stars in the league, other than that they are just trying to run in deep mud. Although I have not gone in depth on my evaluations of players in the range of 13, I think someone with the upside of Myles Turner would be best. I haven't been impressed with what I've seen of his BballIQ, but his athleticism, his size, and some of his skills say that he could turn into a player at the next level.
