I think the Shumpert deal wins the turd of the day.
kings are better off with jeremy lin over rondo.carey wrote:Rondo & Wes Matthews supposedly.dragickingdom wrote:They are clearing out space for Rondo!
minnesota as is (current roster), is one of my surprise teams to make the playoffs next season--as long as rubio plays all 82 games. imagine if love decides to return to sota.Shabazz wrote:Are any teams in the West not "going for it" other than Minny and maybe Denver. There are going to be a lot of disappointed teams come playoff time. The Wolves are in really good shape to capitalize when the other top teams start falling off.
Pay attention, SDC. Love resigned with the Cavs long term.SDC wrote:minnesota as is (current roster), is one of my surprise teams to make the playoffs next season--as long as rubio plays all 82 games. imagine if love decides to return to sota.Shabazz wrote:Are any teams in the West not "going for it" other than Minny and maybe Denver. I don't think they need other teams to fall off. Wiggins and KAT are going to be a force to reckon with no matter what other teams do in the West. Cleveland's Kevin Love trade will always stink.Shabazz wrote:Are any teams in the West not "going for it" other than Minny and maybe Denver. $12 million a year? There's nothing "Yikes" about that.Gladiator wrote:Asik gets 5yr $60m deal from NO. Yikes
I think that's a fair but for someone who's so limited offensively and will be borderline unplayable some nights when teams go small ball against them. Also I was reading somewhere stats suggest his d has been slipping slightly and isn't quite as good as advertised. But in light of the cash being splashed around maybe that's just what it takes to sign him.INFORMER wrote:$12 million a year? I love their roster, but it will take a few years.INFORMER wrote:I don't think they need other teams to fall off. I don't think Duncan has ever played the 5 there or very rarely at least - certainly in the starting line-up. I vaguely remember reading about how Pop makes a point of always naming Duncan at the 4ShelC wrote:Regarding Gambo's tweets about SA...I'd just assumed Duncan would play the 5 or they'd switch off at times. I didn't think Aldridge would be a fulltime 5 there. But our situation is more attractive overall IMO because Chandlers still only 32 and we have a legit young center on the roster. Again, that's a key thing for Aldridge.
That's probably right but the Spurs have gone out of their way to at least start someone else at the 5 - Splitter, Diaw even Baynes. I'm confident if LMA was there he'd be the 5. Whether of not that helps us or not is another question. The Bobster wrote:According to Basketball-Reference.com Duncan hasn't played less than half his minutes at center since 2005-06 -
