It always irks me when people say they’re going to write in the name of somebody who’s not a registered write-in candidate. It doesn’t count. It doesn’t get recorded. It’s not practically like abstaining, it literally is abstaining. What’s the point? Write his name on a Post-It and stick it to your fridge, it will have more effect.

Actually I think this is his “Kamala’s nomination is illegal because she didn’t win a primary” attack. He probably polls 93% among Republicans, and this is his way of pointing out he won a primary and Kamala didn’t.

If you listen to the full clip, he’s talking about polling regarding whether you’re better off under Biden/Harris than you were under Trump. (Still, 93% would have to be among Republicans or is just a made up number.)

But, in context, he is definitely talking about the current (general) election. He thinks because the Dems didn’t have a primary, then that means that he shouldn’t have to be elected in the general in order to take power.
