I studied the Nixon thing and that was pretty evil. He was confidentially given the info that there were peace talks that could end the war in Vietnam by Johnson as a courtesy to the Republican Presidential candidate. Nixon turned around and sabotaged the peace talks because ending the war before the election would help Humphey win being the incumbent party. How many thousands lost their lives because of Nixon?
All I know about the hostages being released on the day Reagan took office is that they were released on the day Reagan took office. I just assumed that they did that just to spite Cater. I haven’t heard anything about Reagan doing any secret negotiations with the Iranians. If I was President and wanted the credit for getting the hostages released, it would look better if I was in office for a little while first. That way it looks like I did some negotiation and got them released. Them releasing the hostages on the day he took office shows me that Reagan either had no time to do any negotiations with Iran yet or they talked before the election. If someone knows anything more please post it.

Trump and Vance seem to be sticking with this repeated rhetoric about how "they" tried to kill Trump, where "they" implies the Democrats. Aside from just being factually incorrect, this is a very alarming thing to say. You're accusing the other political party of trying to kill your party's nominee. In the minds of some of the more extreme folks watching and listening, this will be seen as a call to arms. If they're trying to kill us, we have to fight back and try to kill them! It's dangerous, and I don't like it.

There are dozens of former Trump employees that that kissed his ass and then later spoke very negatively of him. There are dozens of people that detested Trump in every way and then later joined the team and praised him. Does anyone have any integrity in Washington?

I don't really get what Trump and RFK have in common that would cause RFK to want to join forces with Trump. RFK came up as an environmental lawyer for Pete's sake. Trump basically wants to burn the planet to the ground and shut down all the Dems' climate work. Joining with Trump seems to be a clear case of just wanting power over principles, over all else.
