This made me chuckle. There's some truth to it. I don't call my Trumpy relatives as often any more. Whenever I call my uncle, he just goes on angrily about Trump and Kamala and all the zany stuff he's watched on TV.

“Fortunately I was not one of them.”
Very interesting wording.

I have to admit that this thread is feeling a bit echo chamberish nowadays. Not that I disagree with anything that's being said. But that's what's making me worry.

It's true that the tone is a bit different with less of a vocal GOP/Trump voice here. I don't think this place has ever been a place of debate and persuasion. It's good to share news and stories here, and we should try our best to share everything relevant, even if it doesn't support our team or views. If folks see stories they want to share that come at things from a different angle, I hope they'll feel free to do so.

Trump did an appearance / speech today before a New York economic club. He gave a lot of frankly odd responses and generally doesn't seem to know what he is talking about. It's depressing that Americans give Trump and the GOP better grades on handling the economy when he can barely answer the most common questions about economic policies.

He doesn’t need to know what he’s talking about. The people he appeals to don’t either. And they dismiss anyone who does as part of the “establishment” and therefore a liar.

LOL. I was wondering what the folks on r/Conservative were saying about Trump’s acknowledgement that he lost “by a whisker.” I searched for the phrase on the subreddit, and found only these:
I’ll save you the clicks: “Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/Conservative.”

So much for the naked unicycle ride:
Though I’m not sure I can trust anyone who calls this “shocking.”

I love how it is newsworthy that Trump finally, barely, weakly, admits that he (narrowly, barely, maybe) lost the 2020 election. No shit he lost. His refusal to accept free and fair election results endangers our democracy.
