I am not as opposed to him playing a stretch position, but you can't do that when we have such an awful team on the court. It only sets him up for failure.
What has Len done to indicate to you that he has any potential to be a power forward?

I think he was referring to him being a stretch 5.

Exactly. And despite his recent performance of not being able to hit water if he fell out of a boat, he has a very nice shot from 15-18 feet. We just don't have a single player on the court that can set him up properly. It is usually used as a release valve when everything else bogs down, and not given to him in good position. Half the time he has to receive the pass while facing the opposing basket, turn, then shoot from 15-18 feet. That takes time, and allows his defender (or another nearer) to run at him, forcing him to rush it and fall backwards. When he catches the ball in the shooting pocket, facing the basket, he is really good from that spot.

This is true. He consistently hits the open jumper from 15-18 feet. What he cannot seem to connect on is the 0-5 foot contested shot. He doesn't jump much on those close shots and doesn't dunk nearly often enough. I am wondering if he is still having foot problems and doesn't like the impact of landing on those tender feet.

Interesting observation. He's turning into Rik Smits 2.0 ... ?

I think the bolded part is key. Having to play big minutes with "Point Guards" instead of Point Guards does him no favors. Nash would be getting Len 8 easy points a game.

And those 8 points would probably be on 5 shots. It is a travesty what this front office has done. I am not one of those guys that thinks you need a top 3 PG to be a contender, but you have to have a solid, competent one to even be a good team. We just keep making stupid choices/bets.

It's been pretty obvious that this team is going to be in major need of a true PG in the near future to make the whole thing go.

I'm worried that somehow our front office doesn't see this.

What could lead you to that conclusion?
