Which was odd because you know Annie doesn't know anything about twitter, tats, video games, rap "music", etc.

FWIW
While Watson had a direction for his thoughts on the role, Knight was deflective and defensive talking about potentially coming off the bench, like he has been in the past since Booker’s emergence as the possible starter this year. At exit interviews in April, Knight repeatedly shot down a bench role. Earlier this summer when speaking to AZCentral’s Paul Coro, Knight clarified his comments, but still did not flat out address being for or against a bench role.

At Media Day — it’s worth noting Knight was not one of the five players to speak at the podium — it was the same story. When asked if he would “commit to a group,” for a sixth man role like Watson said earlier in the day specifically about coming off the bench, Knight deflected the question. “I’m here to work hard, be a great teammate,” Knight said. “I’m happy to be healthy, happy for a great season, like I said, just happy to be here.” Knight had a similar answer when asked about the possibility of getting fewer minutes in order to win more games. “I don’t know how playing time would be, like I said, the main goal is to win,” he said.

Interestingly enough, Bledsoe had a defined stance on how the team should address sacrificing playing time. “It’s going to be a lot of making each other better,” Bledsoe said. “If you can’t handle it you don’t need to be here.” Now, it’s not a question of if Knight can handle it, but if he’s willing to accept it, and if Knight’s not willing to, what are the repercussions for him and everyone on and with the team?

Since when is it Knight's choice whether he starts or not?

Who here has much faith in Knight's handling? :)

I know what you mean. That interview was clearly not written by her.

I also loved the moment when she asked Ulis about his favorite video game.
U: I don't play video games.
A - suddenly smiling: Good man!

And since nobody else is commenting, I'll add this one:

Ulis: I've never dunked in a game, and I never will.

This is EXACTLY the problem with the line of questioning. Whether Knight comes off the bench or not is a coaching decision. What is Knight going to say? "I want to step back to a bench role because I know I could never beat out Devin Booker for the two"? I don't want a player with that attitude. He wants to start. He should want to start. He also said that he will do whatever the coach asks of him. That is not at controversy. That is exactly what I would expect any decent player to say.

This.

He is not veteran like Barbosa or Dudley, he is still Young and capable to start, so I want him challenging everybody for the spot. Thomas did it a year ago and showed real signs of being worthy, Goran (And I used to love the guy back then) was the one cringing like a kid who has his toys taken away.

In the real world, you have to fight everyday to keep your job, nobody comes and asks:

"Hey, are you willing to give up your office to the up and coming guy that increased the company's income by 5%?"
"No? What about your parking space then?"

And nobody keeps his job by saying "Hey, that guy is clearly better than me, get him promoted ahead of me, no problem"

That lineup will get killed on the boards.

Funny to see Tom Chambers just gushing on media day about how happy and excited everyone on the roster seemed to be. It was just over the top. Of course, what he really meant to say was, "It is just so great to have a media day without pouting fools like Markieff and Goran."

That'll be the lineup, but it won't be much better on the boards.

Hey speaking of that, I saw or read some Media Day person saying that Booker worked a lot on post ups and rebounding this summer. Apparently they would split up into groups of bigs and smalls, then take turns working on the court while the other group rested. Devin reportedly worked with both and did not rest. Anybody else catch that? Here's hoping he is better on the boards this year.

dudley wont help the suns with rebounding. i can see dudley with the crunch time 5 though... bled, book, knight, chandler, duds. dudley should be seen as a closer, so no need to make him play a lot of minutes at teh beginning.

Is this taken with a wide angle lens? Coz Knight looks much bigger in this photo than I remember him to be.

At what statistical point do we consider Booker to not be a sub par rebounder anymore? Say 4 per 36 minutes?

I heard that Knight really hit the weight room this off-season. The thing that stands out to me in this photo is that Booker had reportedly grown to 6'7", but doesn't look much taller than 6'3" Knight.
