If you forgot he was a teenager a week ago, here's a reminder that he is still growing and still needs someone to tell him when his shoes don't fit.

Jesus dude. Really? My 10 year old can tell me when his shoes are hurting him. That is kind of silly.

McDonough's weekly visit on Arizona Sports:
http://icestream.bonnint.net/az/audio/2 ... 326609.mp3
Brutal schedule to start the season, 3 games in 4 nights against elite players in the league. Likes a lot of what he has seen, especially the defense where they are middle of the pack, but the offense is bottom of the league.
Gambo did posit that Booker outgrew his shoe. Chriss probably isn't done growing as well.
Don't get calls that teams with stars do. Hopes that team reputation will change over time and we'll get more calls. Shouldn't be leading the league in fouls.
Impressed with TJ Warren's defensive improvement. Most active in terms of steals and deflections. Confident they can go to him in isolation and have him get a bucket.
A little talk about Len's contract. Looking for more consistency from him. He can give him 5 years by waiting until next Summer. They would have only extended him for 4 because he was not going to be the designated player for the longer extension. My read is that he wasn't too confident about signing him. He listed a bunch of things that Alex needed to do and basically said if he does those things he'll make a lot of money next Summer and "hopefully we're the ones giving it to him." Interesting.

We're probably screwed with Len. If his season is a strong one, some team will probably throw a near-max contract at him that we will be reluctant to match. If he has a bad season, he probably shouldn't be retained in the first place. Free agency is rough.

If we can get him at 12-15mil, keep him.

TJ: 50% FG, 86% FT, 22.6PPG, 6RPG. Not quite the Matrix yet but he's improving. He needs to get that 30% 3FG up though and I'd like it if he can pull down some more boards.

Eric Bledsoe cuts turnovers from Phoenix Suns:
http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /93214114/
For Bledsoe’s first three seasons as a Suns starting point guard, he was among NBA point guards’ bottom 10 for assist-to-turnover ratio with a last-place finish in 2013-14. That three-season ratio of 1.74 to 1 jumped to 2.36 to 1 in this season’s first five games. That includes at least four assists in each game and no turnovers in a fast-tempo game Sunday against Golden State.

I hate when he makes excuses like "Oh Knight's struggling cause he had off season surgery"...um dude we've come along way since the off season. It's time to just realize that he ****ing sucks.
Then again McDonough is the same guy that pimps up Knight by reminding everyone of how he ALMOST made the all star team 5 years ago and that DWade recommended him to make the AS team
So pathetic that Knight's biggest and only accomplishment other than his bloated contract is that.

The Blazers and Suns played a great game totally eclipsed by the World Series
Eric Freeman -
Ball Don't Lie - Nov 3, 2016, 12:01 AM
The NBA was at the forefront of very few sports fans’ minds on Wednesday night. The Chicago Cubs historic and thrilling victory over the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series will go down as one of the best games of the year, if not ever, and virtually everyone with any interest in team-based ball games wanted to see it. Any game in the second week of a nearly eight-month basketball season could only seem like a meaningless diversion by comparison.
Yet those NBA games still matter a great deal to the competitors on the court. So we must give some credit to the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers, who played a great game on Wednesday night that concluded nearly simultaneously with an instant classic winner-take-all contest. They deserved a little more attention even if they were always unlikely to get it.

I doubt a Suns-Blazers game in early November would've garnered much attention, World Series or not.

I'd love to see Bledsoe (as well as Knight and Booker) cut down on the turnovers this year. The team gives up a lot of points simply because the guards leap before they look to pass, or because they try to force a play that isnt there.

Fun with small sample size. TJ Warren leads the team in PER at 21.7. Who can guess numbers 2, 3 and 4? There's a tie for second place.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that... AASE is not one of them.

Ulis and Chriss tied for 2, with Bled at 4.

Whoa, AASE's PER is actually higher than Booker's. How did that happen?

Have you ever played with foot or toe pain and a shoe a whole size too small?
