The Magic might be willing to move Mario Hezonja. I'd take him in a heartbeat as our future SF. Trade Knight, Tucker and a pick for Jeff Green and Hezonja. The Magic need perimeter offense an a PG who can score, Tucker and Green cancel each other out as ending contracts.

Do we know if Hezonja is any good? He hasn't really played since coming to the nba. I was intrigued by him in the draft, but I'm not sure if he's going to turn into a productive player.

We do not. He's not played well yet.

A high-ranking executive from a Western Conference team that contemplated a trade for Cousins was adamant in no longer having interest.

“Everything about that guy is wrong,” the exec told The Vertical. “I don’t want that attitude around my young players.”
Any chance this is McDonough?

Possibly. Maybe Lakers GM? Nuggets? Not sure who else it could be.

Some guys you can just see it. His attitude, body language. You get blown out by the Knicks and go party at a club after? Not the right mentality.

That could be us btw. Maybe we kicked the tires or thought about something involving Knight, Chriss, Tucker, Chandler? Another team could be the Blazers (lots of pieces to work with), but they have a good thing going there.

replace knight with bledsoe, then yes.

What do you see in him, Shel? I haven't seen him play. I sort of remember him being billed as a smart/versatile player prior to the draft. All I really know is that he's 21, averages 11 minutes on a losing team, and shoots 30%. He might turn into an NBA starter, but it doesn't look like it right now. Of course, I thought Dragic was too old and not far enough along in his development to become an NBA starter, too. So I'm curious what you think Hezonja will grow into.

Well first off, he's only 21. We can't write guys off at 21. He's 6-8 with elite athleticism, effortless 3pt stroke and good ball handling ability with a pretty high bball IQ. Consider how none of the recent young players on the Magic have really developed....Elfrid Payton is now on the bench and Aaron Gordon has been largely ineffective and still can't shoot. As much as we like TJ, I think you need a SF who can hit the 3 and TJ just isn't a shooter. He's scorer. That's fine for the bench but limits our spacing with the starters. Check out some highlights from last year, you'll like what you see.

The Pelicans still stink. I keep wondering if they will make a trade or fire their coach.
How desperate do you think they are to win now?
You could trade them chandler or Knight + PJ (could throw in a pick)
For evans or holiday plus hield and Diallo. Evans and holiday are both expiring and the pelicans roster is already horrible without losing them for nothing
Do you think they would be willing be part with that young talent (hield and Diallo)?

I'd rather trade Knight and Tucker for Gentry.

Hield and Diallo for Knight and Tucker would be a heist, but I can't see the Pelicans swapping gunners when our player is sucking hard and is under a significant contract.

I really wanted Mike D back this summer. Look at what he is doing with Harden. Would have loved that coaching on Booker.

Most of NOLA want him fired. Some idiot even chained himself to the arena with a "fire gentry" sign.

Yeah, lets give no credit to Harden.. Like he hasn't been one of the 5 best in the L for years. Anyone not blinded by Harden hate saw this coming.

You saw it coming Harden leading the league in assists? Color me impressed.

I mean, he averaged 7-8 assists last year playing off the ball. It was probably safe to assume he'd get more assists playing point.

Are we obviating the fact that his new coach has put him in a different role? Nobody is arguing against Harden's talent, by the way.

No but it's not like Harden wasn't averaging a high number of assists previously. MikeD wasn't exactly a miracle worker in this case, taking a guy like Patrick Beverly and getting him to average 12 apg. To MikeD's credit, he put the ball in Harden's hands and tweaked the starting lineup around him.

At the same time, I don't think MikeD would've/could've done much with Bledsoe and/or Knight.
