No PJ Tucker on the All-Defense team.

Kind of a bummer, I dont think Roberson was better, but maybe I'm biased.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/BSO/status/879385857337180160 No PJ Tucker on the All-Defense team.

Interesting, fair enough well at least Devin agrees with mecarey wrote:https://twitter.com/BSO/status/879385857337180160 No PJ Tucker on the All-Defense team.
When I think CP, I don't think about the defensive end at all. I didn't even know he was known to be a good defender.In2ition wrote:Agreedcarey wrote:I think Chris Paul is getting by on reputation alone at this point too.
You better hit up Haller:Cap wrote:Never happened, but Woody Sauldsberry won it as an 8th round pick (60th overall) in 1958.O_Gardino wrote:When was the last time ROY was a second round pick?Superbone wrote:If the All-Rookie team voting is any indication, Brogdon will beat out Embiid for Rookie of the Year.
Aside from Sauldsberry, the lowest pick to win it was 1988 ROY Mark Jackson (18th pick).
ETA: Correction. Don Meineke, 12 pick of the 1952 draft, was a second rounder and won ROY.
Rookie of the Year – Malcolm Brogdon, Milwaukee. Philadelphia center Joel Embiid was the league’s best rookie, but he played in just 31 games because of injury. That’s not enough. Philly’s Dario Saric put up strong numbers (12.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg), but Brogdon (10.2 ppg, 4.2 apg, 40.4 percent from 3-point range) played a significant role on a playoff team. That should be enough to make him the lowest-drafted rookie (36th) to win the award in league history.
He might be talking about since the ABA and NBA joined to form the current NBA.Superbone wrote:You better hit up Haller:Cap wrote:Never happened, but Woody Sauldsberry won it as an 8th round pick (60th overall) in 1958.O_Gardino wrote:When was the last time ROY was a second round pick?Superbone wrote:If the All-Rookie team voting is any indication, Brogdon will beat out Embiid for Rookie of the Year.

I want to know who picked Gobert to be second team, and who they said was a better defensive center. It clearly wasn't AD because he didn't get any first place votes.carey wrote:https://twitter.com/BSO/status/879385857337180160 No PJ Tucker on the All-Defense team.
Then he should specify that.Indy wrote:He might be talking about since the ABA and NBA joined to form the current NBA.Superbone wrote:You better hit up Haller:Cap wrote:Never happened, but Woody Sauldsberry won it as an 8th round pick (60th overall) in 1958.O_Gardino wrote:When was the last time ROY was a second round pick?Superbone wrote:If the All-Rookie team voting is any indication, Brogdon will beat out Embiid for Rookie of the Year.

That's the class when we traded up to get an extra lottery guy.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:What a s*** rookie class that is, when the 36th pick could possibly win RotY with 10 ppg / 4 apg.
That "extra" guy did pretty well and has a lot of promise. Are you complaining?O_Gardino wrote:That's the class when we traded up to get an extra lottery guy.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:What a s*** rookie class that is, when the 36th pick could possibly win RotY with 10 ppg / 4 apg.

At the cost of two second-rounders and the rights to Bogdan Bogdanovic. BFD.O_Gardino wrote:That's the class when we traded up to get an extra lottery guy.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:What a s*** rookie class that is, when the 36th pick could possibly win RotY with 10 ppg / 4 apg.
