Jackson with a few quick learning moments on D. You don't see Robin Lopez-type screens in college. He is going to have to learn to navigate those.

Love the step back, man in your face 3 early in the shot clock by James. That’s just smart, high percentage play.

You really do just see negatives, don't you?. Ya that was a terrible, terrible shot, but you also could have mentioned his solid pass on the last possession for the Len dunk. Just an observation!specialsauce wrote:Love the step back, man in your face 3 early in the shot clock by James. That’s just smart, high percentage play.

I see the mistakes and weaknesses in Jackson's game, and I was skeptical as anything. I have to say that I'm turning into a big fan of his now. I see the improvements he's making.

Marquese Chriss, still not a good NBA player.

Len with 10 boards in the first half.

Alex Len is a very good rebound and a solid rim protector. The fact that we have played this dumbass game of rope-a-dope with him for the last few years is really frustrating.

Sorry, when you have the ball in your hands as much as he does, your bound to end up with some nice plaY. But t when it’s 90% bad 10% good, I’m not praising shit. He is the exact player I hate to play with in pick up games. Holds the ball forever, takes bad shots. Nothing worse.n4th4n wrote:You really do just see negatives, don't you?. Is the order to play Tyson coming from management? It’s the only reason I can think for not having a Len/Monroe rotation. McDs boner for Chandler is getting really old.

At this point I expect him to be picked up by the Spurs and turned into a consistent defensive beast. It just seems like the sort of thing that would happen to us Suns fans.n4th4n wrote:Alex Len is a very good rebound and a solid rim protector. A big problem with Len has been the lack of organizational and coaching leadership that defined his role with for the long term. I think his draft position and subsequent selections of Bender and Chriss have both really worked against him.
He'd probably be fine getting 25 minutes a night on a contender where he doesn't have any offensive responsibilities. But it's a mistake to pay for more than 18-20 minutes in a bench role for him.

He took one really bad shot in the first half and had 3 assists. I think your math is off. Have you said anything nice about him all year? He has had a number of solid games. Ya, and some really bad ones. But he hasn't even played 30 games in the NBA yet. And I am not even a huge James fan. I think he tops out as being a passable rotation player. It really really does. I could see him landing on the Celtics too and everyone just freaking out about him.EDC wrote:At this point I expect him to be picked up by the Spurs and turned into a consistent defensive beast. Len is having another very strong game. 10 boards at the half! We really screwed up by not signing this guy to a contract. He's going to leave and be great for some other team next year.
Re: Game Day: Suns (7-14) @ Bulls (3-15), Tues 11/28/17
Markkanen is just 1-9 shooting so far.
Re: Game Day: Suns (7-14) @ Bulls (3-15), Tues 11/28/17
Len is a starting center, there is no doubt about that. He would be unplayable against certain lineups, certain teams, he would probably play 25-32 minutes a game, but he fills a definable (and needed) role for a team.Flagrant Fowl wrote:A big problem with Len has been the lack of organizational and coaching leadership that defined his role with for the long term. He’s 27 years old. Worry about your own math.n4th4n wrote:He took one really bad shot in the first half and had 3 assists. I think your math is off. Have you said anything nice about him all year? There’s more to judge than statistics. You have to play the right way. This guy doesn’t. Putting up stats is something any shoot first PG can do. Exhibit A: Archie Goodwin. Doesn’t mean anything if it’s not sustained and within the flow of the system.

As long as that role doesn't require being a consistent offensive player.n4th4n wrote:Len is a starting center, there is no doubt about that.
