Our pick - 7th (we're tied with LA for 6, 1 game behind dallas for 5, 2 games out of 3rd)
Mil Pick - sitting at 17 right now so we wouldn't get it this year. However, they lose today and they fall into a 3 way tie for 15.
Mia pick - 23rd
It’s still early days but Bledsoe is doing nooothing for the bucks ... there’s a guy I don’t miss. Dragic on the other hand; don’t know what’s going on with Miami but he’s their best player this season and they are overreaching big time.
This is a very small measure, but I think the league should institute a rule that if 2 teams in the lottery have the same record, the team with the better H2H record gets the higher lottery odds. That may disincentivize teams from not competing in their games against other bottom-feeders.

That's not a bad idea.
But I'm an asshole, and I like to get to the heart of a problem. Let's say that a team must have x number of wins in every 5 year stretch, or the owner is forced to sell.

I wish they'd publish confidence intervals. We're projected to finish #4, but just two games from #7 and four games from #8. On the flip slide, four games from #1. So it seems we could finish anywhere in that range.

That right there would be a dream. BTW. The Heat and Bucks play each other tonight. One of those picks is going to get better. Right now, I think I will cheer for the Bucks. Three picks is better than two.

In that case, shouldn't you be cheering for the Heat?
Here's the top 3 teams who've out played their point differential. So their league ranking in win percentage vs their league ranking in point differential.
#1 Miami ranks 8th in win percentage and 18th in point differential for a +10
#2 Milwaukee ranks 13th in win percentage and 21st in point differential for a +8
#3 Phoenix ranks 23rd in win percentage and 29th in point differential for a +6
Two ways to look at that, we're getting screwed as far as draft picks are concerned or there's a good chance that our picks can only go up from here. Currently we'd pick 8th, 18th(we wouldn't get the pick) and 23rd. By point differential we'd pick 2nd, 10th(still wouldn't get the pick) and 13th.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so depressing....

This is the Suns. It means that all 3 teams will over perform this season, then drop back to earth next year.

But thanks for the info, Split. You always drop interestingly weird statistics. I sure hope we see our picks improve over the second half of the season.

The first three games probably "help" our point differential quite a bit

Um. Yes.
Heh, keep doing whatever you're doing. It worked. At least that night.
