The "core rotation" problem would only be one if we were expected to compete and were underperforming. As it is, we have no point guard, a glut of SFs and no PFs worthwhile. So Igor's experimenting. I think he knows he'd rather play Bridges 30minutes instead of Ariza and keep Canaan on the bench if he had the choice but he doesn't.

The more we play, the more the McD firing makes sense. He left a mess. We had so much hope for the Kokoskov hiring but it’s not looking so good right now. The problem is what are we going to do about it? Does anybody here have any confidence that we get a competent, experienced GM to replace McD? What? Nobody? It’s Jones, right?

Jones is going to make one middling trade by the deadline. In the offseason Saver will say that he doesn't even need to do interviews because Jones is obviously the best candidate, and he'll hire Jones to be the long-term GM. And he'll "happen" to sign for less than pretty much any other GM in the league. That's how Saver does things.

Yep, he still hasn't learned. He'll spend money on the players but refuses to put any money into the front office and coaching. This leads to the mess we have on our hands right now.

Yeah, but as long as he fires one of those bargain-basement coaches or managers about once a year or so, it’s all good.
And the solution to our PG problem is simply to get rid of all the sub-par PGs.

Tyler Ulis was better than any of our current PGs. We should have kept him.

We should have just re-sign Elfrid Payton looking back.

To a one year deal? Sure.

On paper? Sure. But it wouldn't help with wins and losses. He was liability on D and had issues with his shot. But he could rack up some assists every now and then, and his presence would probably make Booker happier.

Looking back yea. I didn’t want him because he has no shot and I thought we were in line to make a better move.

~3 million on Payton vs 15 million on Ariza? Yeah, I’ll take Payton too.

I'd take Lin, but he's not worth giving up anything of value. Bender/Daniels/2nd rounder is my offer

if you dont give anything of value, you wont get anything of value.

You're right, I don't value Lin all that much and I can't imagine Atlanta does either. He's an expiring contract on a team trying to lose. We are actually trying to win games, but we're not close to the playoffs and Lin is not a future piece for us. I'm not giving up more than a 2nd round pick and salary filler.
