There is the 1st step on the road to Booker being a former Sun.

That's a pretty fair deal pre-draft in 2017. I don't think Suns fans would've been too upset with the deal considering how Porzingis started out last season.

Theorizing time: Why is that story leaking out right now? Who leaked it, and to what effect?

It's Marc Berman from the New York Post writing nonsense, probably as a Phil Jackson mouthpiece. If you read it it says "The Suns were prepared to ship Devin Booker and a pick swap..." (complete speculation, Berman likely doesn't have Suns sources). Then Kurt Helin, who basically acts as an aggregator of other news pieces, makes the subtle headline change to "Report: Suns offered Devin Booker."

It's nonsense.

Suns media is reporting that’s bogus.

Gambo also refuted it

IIRC, the rumors at the time were that we were offering #13 and Bledsoe.

ETA: That was 2015, when KP was drafted. Rumor was we were going to trade #13 and Bledsoe for #4 and take KP. That #13 pick was Booker, so that could be where the Booker-for-KP rumors came from.

Booker on Tyler Johnson’s early impact with the Suns: “I got two catch-and-shoot 3s (against the Kings). I told him in the game, ‘I don’t think I’ve had one of those all year.’”

According to the NBA, he has 111 of these so far this year.

Yes, but anecdotal evidence is always more accurate.

I wonder how Elie and De'Anthony feel about his comment.

Well, he isn't known for being a leader.

Now James Jones told Burns and Gambo that even with adding several players, that he still thinks he can keep all of the young players and make everyone compete for minutes. He says Ayton and Booker are the only 2 guaranteed starters on our roster.

Rubio or Brogdon would be fantastic. Would also love Mirotic.

I think Kleber would be a good fit for us.

I think so too, but you would think that the Mavs will make resigning him a priority.

Aren't they about to sink $158M into the PF position?
Go Suns!
