Game Day: Pacers (28-16) @ Suns (18-25), Wed 1/22/20
Re: Game Day: Pacers (28-16) @ Suns (18-25), Wed 1/22/20
Missed most of the 1st, looks like it's been an ugly game to start but picking up now. Oubre's had a lot of touches and a lot of shots, almost running point in the middle of the 2nd while Book and Rubio sat? It went about as well as you'd expect. Still, he makes some good things happen on D, slashing and bringing another level of speed in the open court.
We're still not looking for DA enough in the post but he's been getting some tip-ins and had a monster dunk after he blew a finger roll earlier in the 2nd.

I don't feel like we utilize Ayton enough. I watch this game and every time Ayton touches the ball it feels like good things happen. Then several plays in a row will go by without him touching the ball. Why do we allow that to happen? I want Ayton to take like 35 shots a game.

Also, Devin Booker is without doubt an All-Star this year. He just about gets 30 every night while hardly breaking a sweat.

It’s impossible to guard Sabonis if the refs are going to call a foul every time you get within 1 foot of him.

Bad news: these Refs are as unforgiving as ever
Good news: at least we’re not down by 10!!!
...not yet anyway.

Suns can’t buy a bucket in the third. Maybe get it inside to your center instead of jacking up 3 after 3 that won’t go in?

Having 54 points with under 5 mins left in the third quarter is completely unacceptable at this point in the season.

Falling into a 20+ point deficit every night is not a recipe for very many wins.

I really hope Jerome makes the most of this playing time.

Suns managed 17 points that quarter, 8 of which came in the final 2 mins

Not a playoff team. Only 3 dependable scorers, and if one or two have an off night, they're in huge trouble.

We are shooting 2-14 on three-pointers.

So they come out of the timeout - and end up with Rubio shooting a jumper.

I’m starting to think this might not be a playoff team...

Sabonis looks like he may be a better basketball player than Chriss or Bender.
