Popovich was ripping Paul in the post-game hug. "Why don't you make a fucking free throw" was pretty easy to read off his lips.

Well game was tied at 91 with 5mins left which again is the Clutch Net rating time of the game so back to the On Brand wins
I'm sounding like a broken record, not letting them come back would have been cool but executing down the stretch is always a good look

You guys ever get the feeling that this team creates close games so that they can practice being in high pressure situations? It seems when they get ahead they start experimenting with random stuff. Trying to force situations, having players work on some of the high level skills within the came. Post up moves for Ayton, shooting off movement for Cam J and Shamet. Then they let the other team back in, and then it's like OK NOW we're going to play defense.

Does CP3 get credited with a steal in that scenario?

I believe he got a block because Murray was attempting a shot at the time

Hmm, it feels more like he was bringing the ball across as part of a euro step, to come down and then jump back up for a shot, so that would be strange to be credited as a block.

I've thought the same a few times during the streak. CP would be the type to want the team in those late game situations rather than a bunch of blowouts where the starters are sitting the entire 4th. It'll only help later on, for sure.
Wish we could've held onto the lead tho and not let them get back in and tie it. We let McDermott get hot late and had a few tough TOs. Thought the starters were sleepwalking a bit to start the game and was worried the team had hit a wall or had some burnout after the streak. But the bench was big for us and allowed the starters to get some juice back.
Cam Johnson and McGee were big off the bench. Cam Johnson started off rough but had a good game and picked up a few more minutes off the bench than normal. Loved him attacking the basket, as that's something he was doing a bit more last year than this year. He's got to stay aggressive in that area. Payton wasn't awful and had some nice drives to the basket.

The Suns defense was driving me crazy in the 1st half. We just let the Spurs waltz to the hoop over and over. But they figured things out as the game went on. CP3 did a great job closing out this game; seemed like he was doing everything in the 4th to bring home the win. Great overall game from him. I was also really happy with Cam Johnson, who has done well lately at mixing in drives to the basket with his excellent 3-point shooting. That makes him much harder to guard. Crowder and JaVale also chipped in a lot. Good win; on to the next.

I don’t know exactly how they determine it, but if CP3 had got arm instead of ball there, it would have been a shooting foul since he he had gathered and was on a drive to the rim. So maybe he doesn’t have to be in a shooting motion for it to be a block.

I jumped out of my chair and shouted on that play. I made my poor wife watch the replay of it with me like 4 times, haha.

Fun thread to see how CP3 shredded SA to end the game
