I like Dinwiddie's game and he was a guy a lot of people wanted here just a few seasons ago. He's had injuries tho and hasn't been the same player so far. That Wizards team doesn't strike me as the most mature and I read there were some vets who may not have wanted to listen to him when he spoke up early in the year. Not sure it's all on him, especially given it's the Wizards.
Yep. He said when he first got there he tried to be a veteran voice in the locker room, and he was told it wasn't appreciated. I would expect him to play a lot better in a non-dysfunctional program.
Still. I don't know if we want to mess with our chemistry with an unknown like that.

you mean like brining in Torrey Craig last year? Or trading Jevon Carter after just giving him a new contract and Monty saying how important he was to us?

I trust in Jones and Monty to manage that.

And I don't think we win a championship staying pat. That would mean we require Payne, Shamet, or Elfrid Payton to play the best basketball they have ever played in the playoffs this season. None of shown an ability to backup Book/Paul at a decent level. Sure Payne was awesome for a stretch last year. But he has been so far from that this year. And if we experience an injury to Book or Paul in the playoffs, I don't see us getting very far.

Jones did a great job shoring up the center position. But we are still short on Wing, and very short on back court (at a top 8-9 type player).

And to be clear, I am not saying that Dinwiddie is that guy for us. I am just saying that we could really use someone.

I agree with all of that. My point is Dinwiddie isn't that guy.

Is there a chance Bridges gets in as an injury replacement? Normally I’d say no, but I think there’s a good chance we have at least two injury replacements on the roster(Draymond and LeBron). Rudy and Donovan still aren't playing for Utah either. There’s honestly not many all-star worthy players left in the west and I could see them just saying, let’s give Phoenix a 3rd guy and with all the games missed, I think that’s Bridges over Ayton.

Something tells me he won’t find it as easy to score in the paint during the playoffs
