I can’t believe it and I’m praying that this isn’t a “be careful what you wish for” scenario. What if he sells it to someone worse? What if, out of spite, he sells to an ownership group in Seattle and they move? I can’t lie and say I’m not a little scared.

I agree. I don't think the team is likely to move, though. I also worry that there is always the chance that any new owner would also be crappy in some unforeseen way. For example, what if the new owner decides to fire the front office staff and replace them with his own people? I just hope for a clean transition and low drama.

A few stray thoughts:

- let’s change the site name to bax-ter.net or something. Baxter Holmes should be the inaugural member of our ring of honor.

- as far as the next owner, I’m not concerned. When the devil you know is the actual devil, things can only get better.

- Gambo touched on this in a tweet, but I’d love clarification on if the entire ownership group is selling or it’s just Sarver’s majority share. And do the minority owners have a ROFR? It would be great if Sarver, Garvin and Rowley would all GTFO.

- I’m excited to have a G-league team again and we’ll soon get an answer on if James Jones truly doesn’t care about drafting and developing young talent or if he was just covering for Sarver’s cheapness.

- Sarver’s statement is a joke for all the reasons said already. One thing I also had issue with is how it starts: “Words I deeply regret…” How about your actions, buddy? He also paints himself as some sort of messiah to the greater Phoenix area. Fuck right off, Sarver. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
