Is it me or were the refs calling this game like a Lakers home game in the playoffs in the 1st Q?

So Cam Johnson is out with a right thumb injury and Payne out with a right finger sprain.

Dario's minutes have come at the 4 tonight, next to Landale and DA. He stayed on with the starters, so wonder how it would play out if Cam Johnson misses time. He hit a 3 and a nice hi-low pass to DA for a score.

Landale looks like a player for sure, he may have the backup 5 spot locked down especially if he can stretch the floor with his shot since we don't have a lot of shooting on the wing.

Dario not a bad stint in his first game action
Wish it was with Payne as most of curious if that helps him like before but will get there eventually

Hit a corner 3, nice quick high-low pass to find DA for a hook

Suns played a lot of zone defense in the second quarter. So far everything looks like the same as it's always been, for better and worse.

Our ball movement wasn't really there especially in the 1st quarter

Landry hit two 3s πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ
As mentioned before Landale probably played the best off the bench tho

Kind of a janky first half. Lakers came to play, things are a little chippy and LBJ still has a lot of bounce. The Lakers seem to have taken on some of that PatBev personality. Reaves is killing us, we don't have anyone who can guard Bron and the refs are calling it like a Lakers homegame.

Monty's playing with some lineups due to the injuries - going bigger with CP, Landry, Torrey, Dario and DA and then smaller with CP, Landry, Book, Lee and DA. Offense hasn't really found a groove yet and we haven't been able to slow down LeBron.

Re-signing Ayton was a mistake. Left them with no way to upgrade the roster, yes it's only preseason, but there hasn't been much to get excited about. The bench crew is awful and CP3 is another year older.

Bridges, Ayton, and Booker all shooting horribly tonight.

Good to see "ole Torrey" in this stint so far in the 3rd quarter
Just living on the offensive glass and making multiple hustle plays

He seemed to be a little too trigger happy coming back from Pacers and would be taking uncharacteristic shots but corner 3s and getting on the glass version of Torrey is still useful

It's too early to say so imo.....
But hey to each his own

It's arguably easier to trade him now that his contract his settled. If that eventually happens in the next 12 months, we're probably in for some really frustrating moments with this team.

Yeah bummer of a night for my Twin
Injury early and after reading how well Mikal looked the other night he had nothing really going this game plus the bigger surprise is he actually seem frustrated and it showed up in some of his fouls

Suns look like they’re just randos playing at the Y trying to get some shots up.

Looks like pre-Monty era right now with Booker being the only competent Suns player on the court. Ayton's effort in the 3rd is mostly pathetic.

Ayton playing exactly the same. Timid with the ball, uninterested. I don’t care that he’s not shooting well. I care that he has no interest in making a play with the ball whatsoever, completely fine fading in the background. Trade can’t come soon enough!!
