Think he learned that terrible shot selection in a 2-for-1 from his buddy Book?
Didn’t love those last two shots. Not sure who to blame though as we didn’t run any offense. Taking the 2 for 1 was the right move, but I thought he should’ve shot earlier. Had a pull up 3 look that was cleaner.
The final shot was garbage, but we didn’t run a play…almost like we wanted to see what DWJ could pull out of nothing.
I did like what I saw from him. We know he’s a bit of a chucker, but I was mildly surprised by his passing. He had a few pretty solid passes. I think there’s something there.

It's probably too early to say this, but this team is in trouble. Couple of middling dudes named Cam aren't gonna fix this top heavy poorly constructed roster.

Nugget announcers said Ayton and Monty haven’t talked in over a year lol
Yeah, heard that too. Silly goofs.

Ish Smith goes nuts to take the win. 17 and 7. Washington Jr feels like a chucker to me. 10 points tonight but shot 3-10 and put up some horrendous shots down the stretch. Meh.
I especially liked the layup over the backboard.
Hard to get it in that pocket. Impressive.

It is. But we do seem to have taken a step (or two) backwards depth-wise. Let's see what we get for Crowder as he probably would have been first off the bench.

I think they'll be okay. Do I think the Suns will be number one in the west again? No. But they should be a top three or top four team in the West.
I like Landale. He has nice moves and is very active in the post. Yes, there's a glut of guards on this team, but let's wait and see what James Jones can get back with the Crowder trade first.

The Suns, barring any drastic injuries, will probably be a top 5 west team record wise but will most definitely lose in the second round or first round depending on matchup. This is what happens when you do absolutely nothing to improve and lose pieces to become worse. The current Crowder returns being floated don’t change this outcome.
I think the only way we make a WCF or the Finals is if Book takes his dad dick to another level and becomes an undisputed top 5 player but how likely is that?

Ayton had a really good game. He did it against mostly scrubs, but still. I think the one hope for this team being elite is for Ayton and Bridges to both show substantial growth and improvement. If they can help out more offensively and not leave everything on Book and CP3, we could be pretty good.

You'd think we are a terrible, shitty team if you follow some of this PRESEASON game day thread.

Optimism is fun when it's based in reality. This is not a championship level team, is it bad? Nah, it's top 6 in the west, is it good enough to win it atll? Absolutely not. This team has peaked and even regressed over the last 2 years.

This team is top 6 on a good day. It's also possible we miss the playoffs.

Preseason game.
Injuries and playoff matchups will determine who wins the championship.
Nothing new to see here.

4 of our starters are still really good, so there's that. Mikal's scoring instincts are getting better and DA had some nice opportunities in the post. Brown did a good job on Book, he's been underrated for a while now. Craig's hustle and defense were impactful, just a matter of relying on him night in and night out off the bench. Disappointed to see Lee get pushed around defensively but he knows how to play off the ball. I wouldn't want to have to rely on him for major minutes but he was a good pickup from the Ws. Okogie has lockdown defensive potential, just need to find the right combo for him to play with offensively.
Landale looks pretty legit. I think he gives Monty exactly what he's looking for in that backup big role - inside-outside game, high post passing and shooting, athleticism on the boards with some physicality. I wonder if Dario being away from the team has something to do with Jock taking his spot. Imagine the bAd vIbEs if Jae and Dario are both away from the team over their role/contracts.
DWJ is a gunner, if he can find his shots and get comfortable maybe he can be the gunner we can use to score points in a hurry.
I think our Big 4 are fine and ready to go. They'll have to do some heavy lifting for us if improvements/additions aren't made on the bench. It doesn't look like we'll be sitting or playing CP any less, just reducing his on-court role. Maybe that'll help, maybe not.

Exactly. And the doom and gloomers seem to think this is the final roster we roll with all season. Never any tweaks or additions. We're set in stone, destined for a 5th or 6th seed and bounced. Come on now. That's just nonsense.

I mean at the very least, see what comes out of the Crowder situation, right? He was a starter for us. Will we get a comparable player in return? If so, that would help quite a bit.

It doesn't look like we're going to get much for Crowder, and since when does Jones make significant in-season moves?

Sorry, didn't realize that you're an insider. And to your last question, Biyombo very recently.
