I can appreciate because the guys are moving around the ball and hustling on D
What role players are supposed to do so kudos to them
Only disappointment is Torrey still has bad shot selection too often

Continue to be impressed by Washington Jr. pace of play and manipulation of pick n rolls
Not getting sped up and finding his spots

Yeah, that isn't ideal.

The turnovers weren’t ideal, but that’s an impressive line from Washington and Landale….especially Landale.

I thought the team played well. None of those guys are used to heavy minutes or usage. Landale is looking like a real find. Torrey should never be featured on offense. Ish missed some good looks that he's shown he can make, but his defensive effort was really good. Everyone used to joke about Jared Dudley's athletic hands. Ish actually has them.
One area we've improved over last season is the complete lack of guys that suck (0 vs 1). Even TLC is an NBA player. It's a shame he's totally redundant.

Washington Jr. got a little cute as the game went on
Tried too many tight pocket passes and obviously 11 TOs is too high but he isn't a point guard and chances are if he's getting run I will guess he will be ask to look to score more than facilitate
Plus our "backup" pgs tonight were TLC and Lee so in other words we basically didn't have any point guards tonight lol
Yet with the Kings playing their top 8-10 rotation for the first 3 quarters but we were up as much as 14 so the guys did some good things
Landale defense on Sabonis was really solid and he also had a couple weakside blocks
On the other side of things with the new dudes
Lee not shooting better isn't ideal
And as most have said, Okogie offense will be an issue and that's definitely the case. Super hesitant to shoot and choosing to drive into traffic so that's No Bueno

Yeahm but a preseason game where the starters are out and you will get extended minutes is the perfect stage to get cute and try harder stuff as you are gaining confidence and rhythm. It’s not about the TO, it’s about getting reps on something closer to game experience aside practice.

I can already tell Lee is the guy Monty is going to play too much despite having better options. Hopefully a Jae trade removes that possibility.
I think the best case scenario for Okogie is he turns into our version of Gary Payton II. That's a work in progress, but their physical attributes are very similar.

Damian Lee and Landry Shamet are the kind of players that I'm not particularly fond of - streaky shooters who aren't big-time scorers and don't really do much else on the court.

If this were our real starting 5, we would win about 4 games out of 82.
You must have watched a different game than I did. It was surprisingly enjoyable with our bench outplaying the Kings’ starters for most of the first half.

I saw the Suns top 7 guys were going to be out and the Kings were going to play 4/5 of their starters and figured this would be a great game to let our new bench get some good minutes against competition. I assumed they would get their asses kicked. It turned into a very entertaining game that they almost won. I really enjoyed watching it. They will never get that many minutes again all season most likely. Landale and Washington continue to stand out. The bench guys really hustled and played defense. Too many turnovers? A bench unfamiliar with each other playing a ton of minutes in the pre-season. Of course there was a lot of turnovers.
End of pre-season. Now it gets real.

Went out for my bday so didn’t watch live. I’m watching the replay on one of those jenky sites and what on earth was that flagrant call on TLC in the first quarter? Softest flagrant I’ve seen in my entire life. TLC was much more measured in his response than I would have been.

I'm glad that most of Landale's good minutes came against a respected player like Sabonis and likewise Washington Jr. was mainly guarded by Fox and Mitchell who obviously are no slouches
Right now I probably prefer TLC out of the 3, he seems the most steady. His D is solid and the edge Okogie has there, TLC is obviously more reliable on offense
As for Lee, I forgot to mention watching live that he seemed to really hitting the boards and just peeped the box score and he did have 8 but 3/10 from 3 in these last preseason games
