Players don’t like it when you score with the game in hand…I don’t really get it…play defense if you don’t want them to score.

Wonder if the playoff Dubs show up for that game.

I doubt it. They've been finding creative ways to lose lately. Up four with 13 seconds left against the Jazz and they managed to lose.

Just a big of a story is even without Wiggins as the primary defender
Tatum still struggled against these guys

Mentions Kings and Lakers as Kuzma destinations. Then mentions us with CamJ and Crowder. I think that’s too much. I’d rather do Crowder and a 1st. I would also consider a Saric/CamJ for Kuzma deal. Keep Crowder for another trade. I’d want to extend Kuzma though…is that possible at the moment? Or is he hitting ufa no matter what?

I love CamJ but I still wonder how he fits in overall since I'm not convinced he's our PF of the future. Going back to the last 3 games, there wasn't one time where I was like "Man, we could really use CamJ out there". He's a shotmaker for sure, but doesn't really create for himself or others, and isn't big/strong/athletic enough in the frontcourt as a PF to give us an advantage. I think he'd be a phenomenal luxury as a 3/4 off the bench and he's a guy you want to keep around for the culture and lockerroom, but at what cost?

Not at the cost of Derozan that’s for sure.

I’d love to see if the Hornets would bite on a deal for scary Terry and blow it up, as an aside.

I agree, Kuzma is definitely a better player than CamJ…Crowder/CamJ is probably fair value, but I’d want to get two players. We have a depth issue. Now if they threw in Avdija with Kuzma for Jae and Cam, I’d do that.

We've seen it too many times. That team just doesn't care about the regular season.

Suns would jump all over that, don't think the Wiz would though without some draft compensation.

Ya people keep mentioning Avdija on Twitter and other places, but I’m not sure why Washington would move him. They are kind of a weird trade partner for us. If they are giving up Kuzma it’s because they don’t think they are contenders and don’t want to pay him in the summer(or risk losing him). But Crowder is on an expiring too. He won’t be as expensive, but no guarantee he’d stay either.

I could see them interested in CamJ, he’s good now, he’s young, will be cheaper than Kuzma, and(maybe most importantly) is restricted. I’d imagine CamJ probably needs to be involved for us to get Kuzma. If that’s the case I’d just hope we use Saric as the salary filler and trade Crowder elsewhere for another bench piece.

One guy on Twitter who everyone worships talks about Avdija and suddenly he’s the next coming.

Dude is in his third year and has worse shooting splits than I would have. He’s Dragan Bender. Cue the HeS oNlY sTiLl 21 fools. Pass.

I don’t even know what Twitter user you’re talking about.

He’s been significantly more productive than Bender ever was and I’d love to see you try and make 40% of your shots in the nba. Is he still a work in progress? Of course, but he is still 21, he’s not going to be a finished product. He’s capable of running some offense, he’s 6’9 and he can defend. This team could use some youth, even if they aren’t ready for a major role right now.

Also we’re talking about in addition to Kuzma here. Kuzma is really the target.

I’d flip Deni for a player that will actually be somebody at some point. Defensive “specialists” are a dime a dozen (see: Okogie).

It’s like anyone that sucks ass at offense and is reasonably average on the defensive end gets labeled a “defensive specialist.” Otherwise they’d be just known as a “good basketball player.”

I wasn’t calling him a defensive specialist. He’s capable and has good size. It means he’s not a liability. Is he better than CamJ on defense? I’m not sure, I haven’t seen enough to know that. His offense is clearly a work in progress, but the potential is there. We’re talking about him being like the 8th man…not a huge role. I’d certainly consider moving him elsewhere(say packaged with Shamet for Eric Gordon) in a 3 team trade if it got us something more useful right now.
