Entirely possible, but if that's the case that'll make Brooklyn a place nobody wants to go.
A place for fans of the Phoenix Suns

He already did it once and it got him stuck with The Young Socialite.
Yeah, I just want to wake up and find out what we did, if anything.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:53 amI can’t wait for this week to pass. Not sure how many more nights I can take of waking up every two hours just to read dumb tweets about rumors.
Lucky for you guys, usually nothing happens in the middle of the night.Superbone wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:58 amYeah, I just want to wake up and find out what we did, if anything.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:53 amI can’t wait for this week to pass. You mean ask CP3 first if he’s ok with the trade? And if he says no, you don’t do what you believe is best for your franchise? That’s not how teams are run. Plus James Jones was a teammate of Kyrie’s, so he must have felt comfortable making that offer.wpmiller42 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 10:49 amTalent-wise, I can see how you trade CP3 for Kyrie, but after all CP3 has done for the franchise and in his career, I don't think it's a good business move to do that without checking with CP3 first. Move CP3 to a 6th man role? Sure, but don't trade him to the other side of the country and his family for a guy who is so volatile that there'd be no guarantee he'd even make it to the post-season without alienating the locker room and/or fanbase.
Ha ha. Funny how we can know exactly what JJ might say. I hope you're right that we get something better but I can see and hear this happening for sure!djy2j wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:20 pmI have tickets to the Suns at Pacers on Friday, the day after the deadline. Hoping that a deal gets done before the last minute so I have the chance at seeing our new roster, if there is even anything done.
My worst case scenario is Crowder getting moved for a 2nd round pick followed by James Jones pulling a "we didn't find any deals we liked. We like our team when healthy. We will monitor the buyout market." Hopefully it doesn't go this far south though.
On Wolf & Luke, they are saying that it looked like Kyrie was going to the Suns until a last-minute offer by the Mavs.
I actually do think that's the way some teams are run, and I think it's good business for your franchise that if you have a 1st ballot HOFer on your team, who has changed the culture and had a significant impact on elevating your best players, who even orchestrated his move to get here in the first place, yeah, I think you do ask him if he's okay with the trade. Nash wanted to go to LA. Barkley wanted to go to a contender. I think the Chris Pauls, Kevin Garnetts, LeBrons, etc... do get to have some say where and when they go, because they've done so much for their respective teams and the sport in general.JeremyG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:24 pmYou mean ask CP3 first if he’s ok with the trade? That would go along with what Haynes said he was hearing Sunday morning about it being all Phoenix. Or they were just referencing Haynes. Strange that Shams said Phoenix seemed to lose interest.
If you didn’t think Ayton got enough touches with CP3, you’d have been in for a small shock had Kyrie made his way here.JeremyG wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 12:24 pmYou mean ask CP3 first if he’s ok with the trade?
