Good grief, did they really let him find out on Twitter?

I miss them both, but especially Mikal because he loved Phoenix so much.

What are the rules on re-acquiring players again? ;)
Ayton for Mikal and Claxton.

We aren't allowed to sign Cam, though, right?

I just think that’s the nature of the Twitter era…this deal isn’t even officially done yet…can’t really tell players they’ve been traded before they are traded. The news breakers will always find out before and leak it.

Brooklyn actually has a nice core going forward.

Bridges, Cam Johnson, Cam Thomas, DFS, and Claxton.

If they manage to dump Simmons somehow, they could be looking at real nice speedy rebuild.

That’s nice…but it’s missing a star…unless this 3 game stretch of Cam Thomas is for real. That feels like a 7 seed

Yeah but they could have given them a heads up this evening at least that it was a possibility. But maybe they didn't trust them not to leak it.

If they manage to dump Simmons to the spurs for a couple of picks? They’ll have room to sign a star. Or they use those picks and Simmons to trade for the next disgruntled star.

Yeah, I don't think players care about this stuff anymore. There's a ton of money spent by media companies to be the first to break news. They understand how it works.

There's literally zero benefit to telling them a maybe early. Still better for everyone involved to be quiet until a deal is made.

If you trade James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant you'd better have some nice parts lying around somewhere afterwards.

Was great watching Kal and Cam grow up on our team and become the players they have…. Best of luck to them!

I will miss Bridges - but let's face it, he's not an alpha player and if you pick up a player like Durant you have to make that deal.

Cam Johnson on the other hand is a nice shooter, but he's limited offensively and I don't think he's likely to get a lot better. And he's just not built to stand up to the physical play as a starting PF.

And Jae Crowder is gone.

Just looked up the rules and it appears we are allowed to sign Cam Johnson on July 1. ;)

Was told by a family member who is connected to someone who works close with the team that there were alot of tears. Monty was crying and the whole team was all there together to hug Mikal and Cam and to be there for them as they left. That's a good clue as to why shoot around was canceled.

Ugh. Gonna miss those boys.

Best believe I’m wearing my Mikal jersey all day and honoring his time here by keeping him in my profile pic till the season ends. Let’s win him a ring. Can’t think of a situation where a player would deserve a ring more while not actually being on the team when they won.

Exactly. To get a player like Durant you have to give up something in return. Bridges is a future all-star.
