This unit doesn't have anyone that can get a bucket when Lee's shot isn't there.

This group is pretty inept offensively.

And if D. Lee isn't making shots he's not giving you anything.

Monty really tried to keep Paul, Booker and Ayton on the bench to close it out. Kinda funny that it was Okogie who made the plays to seal the game.

Good thing we just acquired Mr Bucket

I'd give him the green light to shoot the lights out. If he's off then sub him out

Yeah, I'm sure TJ will be given carte blanche with the 2nd unit. Tho I don't think Monty likes it too much when you can't work within the .5 offense. Which means TJ will be putting up a lot of quick shots. At least he's good at that.

2026 Suns lineup is gonna be insane.

Luka-Book-Mikal-Giannis-Embiid

With Tatum and SGA coming off the bench

He deserves a full roster spot for this season.

Waiting on buyouts which usually happens around now.

Good bounce back game. The team still feels/looks down and the vibes aren't really there but we took care of business. The Pacers aren't any good and our subs gave up the lead at the end because we're thin on scoring. I thought Book and CP looked flat and both were 7-18 coincidentally with similar statlines. DA hit the boards and really took it to the Pacers in the paint with a few spin moves. 2 of the spins were as quick as I can remember him moving around defenders in the paint. I don't know how or where Okogie fits in when we have everyone but he needs to get minutes. He's rough when the offense isn't there but he can change things with his energy.

On paper, Warren will help with our bench guys but I have a hard time trusting him to stay on the court. We need at least another perimeter scorer we can rely on. DLee's a little cold right now but I think he'll find his rhythm when we're whole. Ish is looking more comfortable and making good plays but is still limited.

In an odd way, it feels like the team has kind of moved past Payne and Shamet. Maybe it's all part of the plan to keep guys fresh and then put everything together post All Star break. Who knows what we get from either of them.

*Ish deserves a roster spot.

It's weird how long Payne has been gone. He was so important to our bench offense, and he filled in nicely for injured CP3 at times. And now he's just gone. Saben Lee has done a pretty decent job filling in, but Payne was better. I hope he'll come back for the stretch run because our bench is always a scorer short.

Ish definitely has earned a spot. Only question I have is, what if two buyout/FA guys become available? Like Barton and Jackson?

Looking much better tonight.
What a difference a night makes. And Book. Plus, I think the Hawks are that much better than the Pacers.

Great to finish the road trip 4-1. Only two games before the all-star break. And then when we come back, it is KD time!

Ish almost airballed a dunk.
That was funny. EJ roasted the shit out of him.
Dammit, I wish I'd heard it. I'm on the Pacers broadcast.
He said sometimes a foul really bails you out. If he hadn’t been fouled, he would have slammed it into the bottom of the rim. Took off way too soon.

I’d take Ish over Barton. From John Hollinger today:

(Rank) 16. Will Barton, SG, Washington: Well, it looks like the Nuggets cashed in their Barton stock at the right time. The 32-year-old has struggled in D.C., shooting just 39.5 percent inside the arc in 40 games and gradually falling out of the mix β€” he’s only played more than 10 minutes in a game three times since Christmas. As with Rose above, he could be the answer for a team needing another shot creator, especially since he’s more credible as a wing defender than Rose.
I think if we get Reggie Jackson, between him and TJ we’ve got a number of creators off the bench we could go to. Ish’s defense is more valuable than another player who can score.

He does but we have Shamet and Landale as giys who are borderline. I forget Shamets contract but if he's non guaranteed next season they should waive him now. I'm not sure I'd put Ish above any of the buyout possibilities. I'd put him over Shamet and maaaaaaybe Landale but we still have some needs to fill that Ish doesn't bring. He's had an improved season for sure. Happy for him.
