I've always had the sense that Kidd pushed to sign McGee and his contract alone is a fireable offense.

The Lakers offense was so dogshit in the 4th and OT against the Jazz. They were just lucky the Jazz had to run everything through THT.

I don't think anyone is enthused with playing the Suns in round one like the Kings or even the Nuggets.
However, the Lakers are rightfully concerned with AD and Lebron's health because they're absolutely cooked if either misses two games in a series. They can't afford to play the matchup game right now, they just need to make the top 6 and avoid the extra mileage of the play-in games.
