I don't know what to make of that effort from the Clippers. They needed the win but played like it was a game in mid January.

Okogie gets the Majerle Hustle Award this year.
Probably every year he's a Sun.

Aren’t we supposed to lose this game?
Our reserves gave their full blown line up (George doesn't count as he's not playing the next round) all they could handle. Doesn't look good for them going into our series.

Uh, they didn't want to win. It was actually an awful win for them. They definitely wanted to drop to 6 to play the Kings instead of us.

They might have been trying to keep the game within reach to lose, if the Wolves/Pelicans game finished quickly and they could be in a position to get to 6th with a loss (but not fall into the play-in). Didn't work out, though, so they went ahead and closed to assure 5th place.

Just an idea - I was watching Utah/Lakers and then Wolves/Pelicans, so I don't have any real feel for how the Clippers actually played.

Exactly what happened. Camera was on Ty Lue when he very visibly asked for the score of the Wolves/Pels game.

Ah, now I see. I mistakenly thought there was a chance they could fall to seventh if they lost.

Edit: Wait, they could've been #7. I'm so confused.

And there was incident in the suns game, where they needed to lower the speakers and replace one of them. So game got delayed a bit. But then on the flip side Gobert decided to punch Slo-Mo apparently. So both games got delayed.

Definitely some fishy business going on.

I may have said this before, but he reminds me of Ronnie Lee ... athletic, with a high revving motor.

Yeah, they could have fallen into the play in. The Clippers announcer was freaking out the whole game and was saying throughout that the Clippers had to win this one.

Saben Lee looks fantastic today
I think he's more reliable than Payne. Shame he won't be on our playoff roster.

Clips could barely beat our crappy bench. But then again, we were barely able to beat the Nuggets' bench.

Things get funky the final few days. Plus Clips might've preferred playing Sac 1st round. Kind of glad we're not #1 or 2 in the West, gives us more time to prepare since we know our opponent. We saw what happened last year against a shoe-in NO team still in rhythm from not being off for over a week.
Most of all I'm glad we're facing a team with a Plumlee on it; that guy always seems to bring his team down (he once posted a -52 +/- in a pre-season game when he was a Hornet  )

Happy to see Bazley get a run out
The dunk was obviously cool but just a high energy/flying forward would be such a cool dynamic for us

I know Biz n Jock will play their roles and obviously Bazley is probably too green/erratic for serious run in a playoff series but.....
If we were to give him run it would be in the 2nd unit with CP3 and KD being the ball handlers in pick n roll. His ability to finish so explosive for me would really hurt teams if they are slow to rotate being concerned with the stars but anyways

I also think his rim defense was good in this game so yeah I see potential there and hope he stays next season

Bazley had his moments. He took an ill-advised three at winning time but maybe that was by design.

We ran almost all of our crunch time offense through Baz. That was Monty playing standings chess.
