That's what I thought, too. Hopefully not! Maybe just allergies?

I thought he just sounded old, like the age is starting to catch up to him.

You mean all the sudden he woke up old on his 90th birthday, sort of like Chris Paul did on his 37th birthday?

More like he sounds like the old timers I used to talk to in the nursing homes or at the diners, or my own grandfather later in his life. At some point, even your voice doesn't sound the same. You can tell his wit and mental acuity is there, but the physical body is wearing out.

Updated the OP with tonight’s file…didn’t get all of the postgame, but got all of Al’s segments pregame.
Really sad if this will be his final weekend calling Suns games.

Can't let Al retire on this note, he's gotta do this one more year.
I’ve been listening to Al since I was 8 or 9 years old. That’s about 45 years. He’s such a class act. He will be missed.

Watching that Al clip. My allergies must be acting up or something... Or maybe dust in the air. Darn dust...

I first listened to Al when he was doing Phoenix Giants radio broadcasts (Giants were TripleA baseball team).
He also was an afternoon DJ on a local top 40 AM radio station.
He then took the helm of the Suns broadcasts when Joe McConnell left the Suns to work for the Indiana Pacers.
That Al's last broadcast was of this debacle is almost criminal...
