Sounds like we could have used Collin Gillespie

Saying the guard play has been terrible would be an understatement, I don't even know how you're supposed to do anything when you don't have a lead guard that knows how to pass, this franchise went from 30 years of elite PG play to going out of its way to make it hard on themselves for no reason.

This pretty much recaps our first game. Frustrating guard play and they're weren't doing much to help our actual picks work on some offense. Thought we started out well with ball movement and Oso initiating a bit. Our picks just aren't scorers so I'm not sure much will change in the next few games. I'm hopeful Oso and Dunn will look better with actual NBA players and they were easy to spot on the floor with their size and athleticism. Oso still looks like a tweener at the 4/5, wasn't really crashing the boards or defending the rim but was also on the perimeter defending a lot of the time and did well there. Dunn's length and athleticism stood out. He plays big and had some nice moments defensively but he's a guy who needs to be set up for shots and easy baskets and that's not happening on this team. The makeup of this roster just isn't great. Undersized scoring guard and wings. No true PG or C.specialsauce wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 9:43 pmWhy do we always have these hero ball fucking sons of bitches as our summer league guards? Meanwhile our 0 aggression draft picks can't seem to find the ball in their hands yet these summer league guards are getting court burn on their monster dicks as they run up and down the court with pure confidence and no ability. It started with Mike James and we do it every fucking year
I’ve better games played at the YMCA. Most every summer league PG thinks they’re either Shai or Steph. It’s a shame Colin isn’t on the squad.ShelC wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 4:51 amThis pretty much recaps our first game. The less said about Roddy the better. Not sure about this plan to have him run point. He's the player people talk about when they say "he needs to play within himself".
Agreed. It's a disappointing "team" that was assembled. I too thought Dunn and Oso showed flashes. Bridges too but hard to make an impact with this type of guard play and bad offense. Also seemed like our top rookies didn't play that much especially compared to GSW. Felt like Podz played the first quarter and a half to put the game away early. GSW was hitting their threes and the Suns weren't and the Warriors had a much better offensive flow.ShelC wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 4:51 amThis pretty much recaps our first game.
