Oh, I forgot to mention, KD is WAY too careless with the ball. At one point in the first half, he had something like three turnovers in a row. He made some lazy, sloppy passes. He needs to clean that up!

It will if Bud has anything to say about it. I don't think he will shy away of pointing this out to KD when they watch game film.

Yeah nothing much to talk about here but one Big issue I seen brought up already.

That 1st half gave me some serious ptsd. We discussed at length last year the pitfalls of KD initiating the offense or running PnR. Still can't fathom his decision making in those situations being wrong so often.

It's unfortunate because Tyus 3pt shooting means he could sometimes be off the ball (in theory)
But hope Bud doesn't make the KD ball handing a staple because it seems like a negative.

Like I said last season, seems crazy to be stressing about KD having the ball but it is what it is
There's also a tweet from the first Pistons match-up saying KD buckets were all come on just a couple dribbles in total

Seems like if you don't want KD sloppily running the offense, you can't really fix it by appealing to KD at this point; he's a 36-year-old veteran, he is what he is. I'd say you work on the other guys more. You stress that you must inbound the ball to the guards almost 100% of the time, let the little guys (Tyus mostly) run the offense.

You guys act like KD is an idiot and can't make changes to his game or recognize mistakes and adjust.

He just cannot be initiating the offense.
I never want to see him dribbling above the 3 point line.

KD is a smart player and can make changes. But "never initiate the offense because you turn it over too much" is not going to be a message that he's going to receive well and respond to.

I will accept absolutely any level of overhyping of Ryan Dunn right now. We haven't had an exciting rookie in a while, and he looks really promising so far, maybe one of the biggest steals of the draft. I hope he keeps his confidence up even if he has a few off games here and there. He probably won't get the green light to chuck up 10-11 3s every game (and I hope he realizes that), but he's played way above expectations so far.

Like I keep saying, I just can't believe how far he's progressed just since summer league. I watched every game. It's really remarkable!
