7-1 baby!
And we are still not playing peak basketball. If we get 15% better by playoffs, watch us!

What a win. Love this team so far. KD was money down the stretch, Nurk had a nice game, Plumlee also solid in his minutes. Royce O'Neale is having a wonderful season for us and felt like he was all over the court the whole game. SUNS WIN!!!

Suns struggling in the 3rd, but a great run here to end it. Now it's a 3-point game! Amazing.
I know. Before that run, I was thinking it was bound to happen eventually and it wasn't our night and then bang! The letdown will have to wait for another day.

7 of the worst 8 records in the NBA are in the East (Cleveland & Boston are 16-2, the rest of the conference is 36-63).
9 of the 11 best records in the NBA are in the West.
The top 5 teams in the league (CLE, PHO, GSW, OKC, BOS) are 37-5. How did the league get this lop-sided?

Haven't had a chance to watch yet, will later tonight. Just peeked at the stat line... thrilled with the victory but wish we can start winning more easily and dropping Book and KD's minutes.

Durant with 32 and 8, huge game for him. Iced the win for us down the stretch.
Nurkic with a huge 20 points and 18 rebounds. Best game of the season so far for him, happy to see it.
Book had 22-9-4, missed most of his 3s and missed a 3 in crunch time but generally played well.
Beal had only 7 points but felt like he was having a positive impact. He had a couple of great defensive plays including an awesome chase-down block. I like the way Beal has been playing so far this season, stats be darned.
Royce O'Neale played 23 minutes and put in 6 pts 7 rebounds, but his presence loomed large on the court. Defensively he was a total pest, including rattling Jimmy Butler into passing rather than attempting a game-tying 3 and helping us clinch the win. He's having an exceptional season for us.
Off the bench, Dunn hit 2-2 from 3 and gave us 7 points in only 9 minutes. Grayson Allen had a pretty good game, 12 points and three 3-pointers.
Coach doesn't seem to be playing Monte Morris any minutes in the past few games. Wonder what's up.
I'm reading that Dunn suffered a sprained ankle in the game but I must have missed that play. Hope he'll be okay soon.

All the "fat" that Greyson put on is helping him on his drives in the paint.

Royce bothering Jimmy Buckets into passing up his potential game-winner:

Another good, gritty win against a tough EC team. The Heat are the Heat so you know it''ll be a dogfight. Nothing really seemed to click until the end of the 3rd. Most of the game there was a lot of back and forth - early on we couldn't quite pull away as their shooting kept them close, a few lead changes and we weren't in sync offensively. Then we went cold and they pulled away a bit but you never really felt like we were out of it. We stayed with it, the Heat started missing and our offense took over. I liked how our defense looked for the most part, especially later in the game. Herro was hurting us, Highsmith had a great night but we kept Butler and Adebayo quiet all night.
Beal was off on offense but played really hard, especially on the defensive end. Book was solid but it felt like they were keying in on him and being physical and doubling. KD is KD, they didn't have any answer for him once he got going. Allen and Royce off the bench didn't shoot well but hit some timely shots, always played hard defensively and were good matchups against the smaller Heat. Nurk with another monster game. Not just on the boards but solid defensively and hitting 3s. Very interested to see if he's turned a corner or if these are just some good games/matchups and he'll struggle again in other games/matchups.
Turnovers are still frustrating mostly coming from guys trying to do too much/forcing things or just sloppy passing. Book picks up his dribble, no one moves to come get the ball, he throws a bad pass that gets stolen. KD overdribbling almost always ends up a TO. Bud is going with Beal and Book in the backcourt with the subs, I'd love to see Monte spell either of those guys and get us running some good offense and cut into their minutes.
I think Dunn twisted his ankle saving the ball to Nurk on that long 3. If he misses some time, who does Bud go with? Lee? Okogie? Oso? Bol???
