Grizzlies are blowing it…we are going to need to pour on the points here if Dallas wins

I’m worried about how much time KD is going to miss and us stacking wins.

This team is going nowhere with Durant and Beal on it, neither one of these guys can consistently stay healthy. It sucks but that's the harsh reality.

Do you think he's bothered by this or is he unbothered by it?

Good game overall. Don't care about the Cup, just glad we got the win. We were really in control of things and even tho Wemby and CP came out in the 2nd half trying to make a push, we kept our cool and pushed the lead back up. Really good game from Book, who's been rounding into form and in a nice rhythm after a slow start. The bench really came thru, especially Royce taking on the defensive assignment on Wemby after KD went down. Plumlee did a great job inside with 6-6 and 4 blocks. Dunn was again active and more impactful than the boxscore would indicate and Morris came in and played really well on both ends with 4 assists and +13 in just 8 minutes.
Beal had a rough game offensively but hit a big 3 late and was pretty good on defense. Thought he looked frustrated throughout the night and seemed a bit down in the postgame video. Hope he get back into a groove sooner than later.
Good on Bud for making the right adjustments in the 2nd half. Called a TO after the Spurs made their run to start the 3rd, replaced Allen with Royce and used Monte as needed.

The one good thing about not advancing in the cup is that the Suns now play Portland and Utah instead of the upper echelon teams, so could be beneficial if they can win both.

Ooh, that is a nice perk

Yup…. Great guys with streaks of awesomeness but undependable. Dump those two and rebuild around Booker unless he wants out. They’re all great assets and would move them for the right deal.

To be fair, KD played 75 games last year. But there is the philosophy that's it better to trade a guy a year too early than a year too late. And with his extension coming up, it'll put the team in a tough spot. We've kind of backed ourselves into a corner with Beal and KD, which you'd think would be a good problem to have but we're so handcuffed with salary and it doesn't feel like there's this true window for a title. We just have star names, big salaries and no true path to a title. And any rebuild/reload might not sit well with Book.

Watched this one wire to wire but was on DVR delay so I couldn't post during. Booker carried us after KD went out. I looked at the box score after and was surprised at some of the numbers. For example I would have thought Oso had 15+ points (seemed like he was everywhere and very active) but he had 7. It's been rough watching Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale brick so many 3s lately. I think it gets worse when KD and/or Beal are out because those roleplayers don't get as many wide open looks.
For the Spurs, Wemby was surprisingly quiet in the first half but woke up in the 3rd quarter. I was frustrated by our interior defense; it felt like guys like Vassell, Sochan, Johnson, and Champagnie were just driving to the basket at will. I wanted to slap that dude with the stupid green hair. I also thought that CP3 played really well for them, but then I check the box score and he shot 1-9 and had 2 points. Shows what I know.
Real gut punch to see KD go out with an ankle sprain. Feels like this team is too snake-bit with injuries and inconsistency to make a real run. I think that when healthy we're one of the top 2-3 teams in the West, but what are the odds we would actually be full strength in April? At this point I would bet my life savings against this core winning a title, which makes me think we would be better off just selling our assets. But there's no way Ishbia would do that. I hope we can sign KD to an extension, keep this core one more season after this one, and then do a fire sale for picks and younglings and cap space.

It's not snake bit. Everything in their careers has shown you they cannot stay healthy. And yet we continue to talk about "luck." It's not luck. They're glass. KDs got to have the weakest ankles in the league that roll every single time he steps on someone's foot. And Beal is the president of the weak as fuck association both mentally and physically
