Maybe, there were other responses in the thread where it seemed like he took it as a shot at him.
Maybe that's it. I don't have Twitter so I don't see any replies.

I don't know if most of you remember James Edwards very well but I keep forgetting to mention that Nick Richard's demeanor reminds me a lot of ol' Edwards.

The Suns front office continues to amaze me in their ability to consistently acquire players without personalities

KD does have a personality, and it’s one I find unpleasant.

KD back at it on social media. I like Voita of BSoS, think he's one of the more level headed suns writers. And really, we have a good fanbase on social that's pretty even keeled. The KD stans go overboard IMO but the fact that KD is bickering with Suns fans like this....

Fragile egotistical bus rider
If it's so easy to see, why are we on the cusp of missing the playoffs? pffft....

These articles are always useless exercises.

I’m a little puzzled (and a little annoyed) at why the exercise of making up trades is so dominant in discussion on social media and sports ‘journalism.’ It’s not just a silly thing people do now and then, it’s a constant torrent of hypothetical trades. What makes it so appealing?

the drama... it's all about the drama and people eat that crap up. We can thank the social media platforms for amplifying this.

People love playing GM. It also creates a sense of hope for teams/fans that don’t have much. Same appeal that draft picks are…hoping you hit big.

I agree. It's ridiculous. It's not just social media. I have "articles" that pop up all the time in my "news" feeds, that say stuff like, "Lakers acquire 4-time all-star shooting guard from Phoenix..." With the remainder of the headline cut off saying "... in this bullshit trade that I just made up." They purposely make it look like its real. It's all over the place.

People, STOP CLICKING on this shit!

It’s much less common to see people playing coach, other than complaining about rotations.

I guess a big part of the appeal of playing GM is that it’s so easy. You just get the Trade Machine to say this is a valid trade under the rules and impress yourself with your GM skills.

We should do a much better of teaching people to recognize and avoid clickbait. The techniques for manipulating people with clickbait headlines and titles are well known. It’s a science. The techniques would be much less effective if their targets recognized the techniques being employed.

Here are a few simple starters:

Don’t click on a headline that emphasizes A FEW WORDS with all caps.

Don’t click on a headline that has an exclamation point at the end. Especially if there’s more than one.

Don’t click on a headline that uses the word “This” without an antecedent.

Don’t click on a headline that describes your emotional response to the story but doesn’t describe the story. If it just says “shocking news” instead saying what the news is, that’s clickbait. Good headlines are written to inform; manipulative headlines are written to arouse curiosity.

Don’t click on a headline that claims to know what you know or think.

The article addresses that:
Indeed, owner Mat Ishbia has come out and said that a Booker trade will “never happen”, which would be an emphatic article-ender if NBA team owners always did what they said they would.

Yes, playing coach is much harder. Fans are too reactive to results and not process. We don’t always see the process for what it is and judge whether the coach is doing a good job based on whether the shots go in or not. I include myself in that too. It’s hard to pick up on details watching live…also when you don’t actually know what the ask is.

Of course it is pretty noticeable when players start to tune out the coach and stop trying hard.
