I think we need to trade Grayson too…find someone who will give us some size for him.

Well I don’t think anyone wants to keep the same show going.
Anyone except the one person who matters because he owns the team.

Keep Book, Dunn, Royce, Oso, Richards, Martin, Gillespie. The rest can go. If we overhaul to that point, I don’t mind keeping Bud around

He wants to keep Book, he doesn’t want to keep the rest. He already tried to trade KD and Beal

He started playing the young guys and the team looks better.
For two games against teams with worse records?

Fans are fickle…we are very influenced by the moment. My biggest concern would be what his relationship is with Booker. We are obviously keeping Book, so we need a coach that has a good relationship there. I need to see what happens in the offseason too.

Yeah but this isn’t about what we prefer, it’s just a prediction of what we think is most likely to happen. I’ve always leaned toward Bud staying simply due to all of the money owed to coaches and the FO wanting some continuity.

All I can think of is this:
I hate to break it to you and Charles but that's not E.T.

I voted Yes, but the results are shocking to me so far. I thought basically the whole board was saying it was a given he wouldn’t be back, just a week or two ago. What has changed?
The last two games and his willingness to finally mix it up with the energy guys.

Has nothing to do with the quality of the teams we faced. If we played the same way against the Celtics, OKC, and Cavs, and lost all three, I'd feel the same way.

I don’t think we can continue handing out five year contracts to coaches we fire after one year, but Ish might see this as a “Hold my beer” moment.

We got off the hook on Monty’s deal because he signed with Detroit…Was Vogel a 5 year deal? I do remember he came kinda cheap as coaching contracts go…Bud got a lot more than Vogel. Vogel doesn’t seem to be looking for a head coaching job, but maybe that changes this summer.
Bud seems like a guy that would find another job, but if he got fired again, I wonder if that job would be a head coaching one or maybe an assistant(or coaching consultant like Vogel). We don’t get off the hook if he’s not a head coach.
This is one area where I really don’t care how much Ishbia spends though. It doesn’t impact the cap, aprons, etc. Just his bottom line. I really don’t know what direction I would go with a new coach though, other than we need one that will get buy-in from the players(specifically Booker). But that also depends on if we went more rebuild or retool.

I don’t see Bud being a HC next season if it’s not here. He has really embarrassed himself.

It doesn't bother anyone that he sat Dunn and Oso for 6 weeks while the team played lifeless losing basketball.
He has chosen to play the highest salaried players over the other guys like Dunn, Oso and Gillespie. He actually played Martin and what I have seen from that guy, he can have Allen's minutes or Beal, take your pick. We will see who plays when Allen and Beal are healthy. A hoodie for both of them would suit me.
Most of the season he has allowed or directed KD and Book to create the offense. They did not win games and were unwatchable.

I agree it’s hard to tell when we don’t know all of the behind the scenes stuff. If the vets were running the show, I still blame Bud since he’s the only one who wants to lead. More and more I get the vibe that KD has dictated a lot of this stuff by just being here…. He doesn’t want to be a leader but will get in dust ups with Bud on the sideline. For a guy who doesn’t want to lead, he should stfu and let the guy who was paid to lead do his job.
