37-39 wins. More wins than a 2nd apron team is a “w” in my book for this year.

37-39 If the Rubio team can get 34 in a short season, this team can get more in a full season. IMO this year has more talent and depth but I expect some road bumps. I have no idea what to expect from Ott, but I'm not encouraged by the hiring process that got him.

That's a tough decision but I think I take our new team assuming Williams is healthy.

I figure Ayton's suspension and Williams injuries will be about comparable.

I’m going with 35. Not sure if that’s already taken.

Good to see you, Gene! How have you been? What's the latest?

In terms of your prediction, what makes you so rosey about the 2025-26 Suns? What do you especially like about the team that gives you a positive outlook? (I myself voted for a lower total because I think we have too many rookie/young pieces and too much positional overlap to be a playoff / play-in team right out of the gate, but still hoping for the best.)

Duly noted. I looked into re-opening the poll since nothing significant has happened since the poll closed but it doesn't look like a possibility.

I wasn't all that encouraged about this coming season with regards to the rookies. Fleming was extremely disappointing and Malauch looks like he's 2 yrs away from being a year away. Brea looks very limited. I don't think any will be a factor this year.

I think some of the rooks could be a factor, but, to get them there Coach would need to play them a lot of minutes and live with the mistakes and losses that would inevitably come from that. So I think we kind of have to choose, do we want to try to win games by playing vets (Grayson, Royce, Brooks, NHD, Williams, Richards, etc.)? Or do we want to grow and develop our rooks and youngs (Maluach, Fleming, Brea, Dunn, Oso, etc.)? I don't care what our record is and would mostly rather play young guys who need minutes and reps to grow. But we also don't have our own 1st, so, playing rooks and losing will be bittersweet as we watch our pick go to Houston or another team. Meh.

I still want to play the youngs because I think the ceiling of playing our vets is too low to be a viable long-term plan. I think we should just throw young guys out there and figure out what keepers we have on the roster, and then focus on developing those guys so we can be good in a few years.

I have about 6 paragraphs written about this regarding lineups and minutes that I'm trying to finish up but it feels like overkill.

I thought Fleming looked really good in the limited minutes he got due to injury. Not sure what you all are expecting. His role will be to hit 3s from the corner and provide help side defense, which he did very well in summer league.

I thought his defense was suspect, his athleticism was limited, his rebounding was terrible, and the corner 3 was the most encouring thing about his game. Just my observation from his limited time and my own expectations being higher than his production in summer league.

Y'all just ty to remember that Dunn was drafted at the end of the first round, Fleming and Oso were 2nd round picks, and Brea was undrafted. They all have flaws and are not locks to even stick in the NBA. That said, I was generally encouraged by summer league.

Dunn looks like he's ready. He showed a much improved offensive game to go with his already great defense.
Oso looks much better. He has grown into his strengths. If he can keep his assertiveness, he could make an impact despite his bad shot.
Maluach looks like the youngest kid in the draft playing a tough position. He was engaged, but he has a lot of growing to do.
Fleming was injured and I thought he didn't get enough court time (game and practice) to show what he can do.

I was really hoping to see more out of Fleming in SL but I understand that he was limited due to injury. I have started to get excited about Brea as a sneaky good shooter at the end of the bench; I would love to just bring him in for a few minutes a game and let him get some shots up. Shooting is a bit of a weakness up and down our roster IMO outside of Book and a few others, so Brea and Fleming are the type of guys I hope we invest substantial energy in developing into rotation players.

I'm hoping Brea can have a Knecht-like first season with the Suns.

I agree that Malauch was engaged, and that's a good sign. I still think he's 2 years away from being a year away, but that doesn't mean it was the wrong pick. Maybe I didn't put as much weight into the fact that Fleming was injured. I hope you're right.

Brea was drafted 41st overall.
