Tim Hardaway Jr is a sneaky really good addition for Denver. He has 17 points already.

Hopefully we’ve seen the last of NHD for a while. He’s really useless on offense.
Or not! He’s apparently a better center option that Maluach.

Tim Hardaway Jr. just loves to light us up. It feels like Cuttino Mobley all over again.

We are just a mid team, will probably end up a 7 or 8 seed, 6th seed is probably the ceiling. That’s good still, way better than I expected but we just don’t have enough talent to compete with the great teams. Our defense and no quit mentality will keep us in most games with the great teams but just not talented enough to win them consistently. I think right now we are a first round exit playoff team. Maybe Jalen Green raises that ceiling? But we are desperate need of another big wing and a proper back up center. Fleming and Maluach would actually solve that, which makes me hopeful for next year.

Fleming and Maluach becoming real rotation pieces raises the ceiling of this team immensely. Getting leaps from Green( 23) Williams (23), Dunn (22) and Gillespie( he’s a little older but he’s past my expectations already) could put this team in elite territory.

I think we can get decent offers for Brooks in the offseason. Would like to get into next year’s draft if possible.

Well, we got beat pretty solidly, not a squeaker like last night against OKC. Jokic is just so hard to match up against; he had 26, 9, and 10. But it was annoying watching Hardaway Jr carve us up for 23. We should be able to stop a marginal guy like him. Cam Johnson had 15 points and hit 3-6 from 3; miss that man.

Most of our guys played decently well but it just felt like we didn't have enough weapons. Book shot 14-15 from the FT line (!) tonight. I thought Oso mostly played pretty well; he seems to have shaken off the worst of his cold start to the season. It was great to see Grayson Allen back, though he looked a little tentative to me. Richards had a lot of trouble against Jokic. It was nice to see the young guys like Fleming, Maluach, and even Brea get minutes, even if it was mostly in garbage time.

I'm happy with the OKC moral victory; two almost unwinnable games. On to the next.

When Denver shoots 58% on their 3's they're going to be really hard to beat.

Part of it was that the defense wasn't as good as it was against OKC, part was just hot shooters.

Now let's take it out on the Lakers.

Jokic is questionable
He didn't seem questionable with a near triple double.

We kind of blew our load in the first 3 minutes of the game hustling and getting out in transition to go up 8-0, then came back down to earth and the Nugs woke up a bit. We missed too many 3s, especially in the 3rd, while Denver made theirs and took the game over. No excuses for this one as they were on a B2B and also traveled. We were missing Williams, Dunn and Green but they were missing Braun and Gordon. They have Joker, we don't. THJ got hot from 3 but how does Bruce Brown get 10 assists?

I wish we could find a way to get Book the open looks that Brooks get. He's getting blitzed but also needs to just go up and shoot it when he's got some daylight. Should CG have kept his starting role, with Allen coming off the bench? Felt like maybe that was a miscalculation by Ott.

And we also need to have a convo about Mark Williams and his availability. He's been great....when he plays. But if this is the longterm plan and he's sitting on B2Bs, then is he worth whatever extension we give him? Is he going to be our Embiid? And yea I know, Maluach will just start those other games and give us 20-10 but until that actually happens, this is what we're going to look like.

Yup... at least we show up every night playing like they have a chance. We're winning games we should be winning and even some we should be losing we scrap out a loss. Just love this team.
