We always seem to be playing well and knocking down shots and then you look at the score and we're only up 5, then we go cold and give up the lead. We can never build up and sustain a lead. Maybe the 2nd half will be different this game.

Pretty pleased with the end of the 3rd quarter. I thought Dunn had some nice defense and rebounds, and Maluach did a serviceable job on Wemby. But now here in the 4th it feels like the Spurs are getting easier baskets than we are mostly. Still holding on to a 7-point lead as I write this.

Hope I’m wrong, but this feels like a heart-breaking loss coming up (moral victory but nothing to show in W/L column)

We always find a way to stay in it or even have a decent lead, it’s always about how it ends tho, that’s where we fall apart. Our composure and execution is terrible. Unless we beat the brakes off a team at the beginning of the 4th, teams know they can up their intensity and we will most likely get all emotional and give the game away.

I’m a firm believer that there’s no moral victories this late in the season. Put up or shut up.

Reading this thread you would NOT know that the Suns are up 10. Bunch of sad sacks in here. C'mon guys, don't lose faith! GO SUNS!

As much as we talk about re-signing CG, Goodwin needs to be a priority just as much this offseason.

Yes, Goodwin has been exceptional.
Suns clinging to a 4-point lead with 3:26 left. Wemby has 30 and 11.

CG
Goodwin
and then Mark Williams.
At the end of the day, Williams was always a stop gap for Man Man. That’s BG’s signature draft pick, gonna have to live with the results with him. My preference would keep all 3 but this is a business after all

Oooooooof, Fleming gets intentionally fouled by the Spurs and then he misses BOTH FTs. That sucks for the kid. He was just starting to get his confidence. The basketball gods are cruel sometimes.

Just brutal. This injuries have derailed our season essentially.

(beating this drum yet again) The loss isn't on just one guy, and it will be tempting to blame Fleming's two missed FT at the end. But I can't help but notice that Jalen Green shot 7-20, which does not help. To be fair, my man Booker also shot 8-22 so it isn't on any one guy. Really tough loss by the narrowest of margins. Great game-winning shot from Wemby who was spectacular all night. What's too bad is that I actually thought our bigs did a pretty decent job tonight. Both Oso and ManMan did about as good with Wemby as you can hope to do, and they also contributed some rebounds and points along with it. Tough, tough loss.
